My name is Mike McGhee, and I’m honored to serve as the Head of School at Holy Spirit High School (Class of '88). Today, I’m inviting you to be part of a transformational journey—one that will restore Holy Spirit to its place among New Jersey’s premier high schools.
Our mission is to build an institution rooted in faith, academic excellence, and service—while equipping our students to excel in every arena, whether on the field, court, track, pool, boat, or diamond. This isn’t about “winning at all costs.” It’s about cultivating a culture where our students COMPETE with passion, character, and a clear sense of purpose.
Our proud tradition wasn’t built overnight. It was shaped by generations of Spartans who strived, sacrificed, and gave their best in the pursuit of excellence. That tradition is strong—but it’s only sustainable if we continue to invest in the next generation.

Thank you to all of those who have served our country to allow us the freedoms we have.

The Holy Spirit Community is grieving the loss of 2005 alum John Bewley. He came back to Holy Spirit last year as a Science Teacher and Assistant Football Coach. In March JB was having some health issues, and finally was diagnosed with cancer. He fought it with all he had but succumbed this morning. He will be missed by all of us and the lives he touched. Our condolences to his family. RIP JB.

The Holy Spirit Fathers Club is running their annual 50/50 raffle where there will be three (3) $25,000 winners as long as all 1500 tickets are sold. The cost for 1 ticket is $100. Please help support the Father's Club AND Holy Spirit Softball by purchasing a ticket. All proceeds benefit the HSHS Father's Club AND we get a percentage of every ticket sold. We are going to Florida in 2025 for Spring Break and need to raise funds for the trip.
