August 🤍

I’m not really sure there was a better way to finish out my season.

I’m so thankful I followed my gut and opened my schedule up to some new families. It ended up being exactly what I needed and brought some pretty amazing families to my pool deck.

21 new families
1 returning family
28 total students

Amazing kids doing amazing things. Almost half of my students were working on float skills, and they ALL did so good. The swim kids were such a fun group: happy, funny, confident little humans who showed up with some seriously great swim skills. 🥹

One of my favorite parts of this session was the tiniest, sweetest, best-tempered little babe who turned 6 months old during this session and absolutely rocked her float like it was no big deal. 🤍

These are the moments I never want to take for granted.

I’m closing out the 2026 season feeling really, really grateful for my swim family — and for the best coworkers a girl could ask for. They make my days happy. They make me laugh. And they remind me over and over why I love what I do.

August families, thank you for choosing me and trusting me with your littles. I don’t take that trust lightly.

What a way to end season 26. 🤍

Whether you're one of my existing swim families or you're discovering Miss Julie's Water Safe Swim Program for the first time, I hope this overview helps you better understand how lessons work and what makes learning with Miss Julie a little different.

Every child who comes to my pool has a different starting point, different strengths, and different goals. My experience and approach reflect that, allowing me to thoughtfully guide each child through the skills they are ready to build.

My hope is that it answers a few questions, gives you a feel for what to expect, and becomes a helpful resource whenever you're considering lessons for your child and family.

World Drowning Prevention Day

A day to remember that we are part of a global effort to raise awareness and take action against one of the greatest threats to our children: drowning. Water remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4.

Today, in honor of those whose lives have been forever changed, I recommit to raise awareness by sharing what I know. I will always feel grateful to the families who courageously share their stories to help protect others. Every life saved begins with awareness.

I invite you to make one simple commitment: share what you know with one more person. If your family has learned something valuable through Miss Julie’s Water Safe Swim program, whatever it may be, pass that knowledge on. I believe knowledge has the power to make a difference for another child.

Awareness leads to action. Action saves lives.

Together, we can build a safer community, one conversation, one family, and one child at a time.
