This tree contains a toxic agent, hypoglycin A which causes severe muscle damage. The heart and muscles can be affected and is fatal in most cases. Black walnut and maple trees are also toxic. Keep your horses safe and make sure these trees are not within their reach.

This tree can kill !!! Safe practice to check your pastures for poisonous plants and trees.
