Our outreach to Guatemala with our SUGO bots was such a rewarding experience. The smiles and excitement this brought and will continue to bring to these children is truly an unforgettable memory. It has truly reminded us of how fortunate we are to spend our time doing what we love in FTC.

G-Force had a great weekend at the FIRST Cheseapeak Regionals bringing home a second place DESIGN Award. But the real win was learning from our mentors to critically think and problem solve issues while enjoying time with our biggest supporters, our families.

As ambassadors for FIRST we do more than just go to competitions. We spread our love of STEM to others who would otherwise not have this opportunity. Today we assembled 6 SuGO kits that will go to Casa Aleluya in Guatemala next week with 2 of our members on a missions trip. During their trip they will share their love of STEM and teach other youth about assembling and coding to enhance their knowledge.

We have been busy preparing for our upcoming FIRST season of "Decode" but taking time to help others in our community is part of what robotics teaches us. We strive to show Gracious Profesionalism in all we do.
With the help of our Mentors and parents who sorted a lot of Legos, we were able to prepare 50 Lego bags for local churches to include in their shoe boxes to be distributed to children who don't have the same opportunities we do.
