💙💛 Huskies in The Republican!!

Brice Roche competed in the State Championship tennis tournament on Monday. For the second year in a row, he randomly drew the tournament winner in the first round. Brice fought for nearly two hours, but came up 6-0, 6-3 after many deuce point battles. The level of play was outstanding, despite the outcome. He finished the year 17-2, with his only two losses to the state champion and runner-up. During the season, Brice won the Bi-County First Singles Championship and was unanimously selected by area coaches for the Western Maryland All Star Tennis Team.

Big congrats to Samara Streets for earning 5th place in the high jump at States!!! Way to go!!!

Brice Roche is headed to States for the second year!

Brice Roche won his quarterfinal match over Boonsboro 6-0, 6-2, and his semifinal match over Mountain Ridge 6-1, 6-0. These wins advanced him to the final and earned him a spot in the State Championship. In the Regional finals today, he suffered his first loss of the season to Clear Spring, finishing the tournament in second place. States will be held May 22-23 at Wilde Lake Tennis Club in Columbia.
