My name is Captain Brian Springstead, I have been charter fishing on East Grand Traverse Bay since I was 14 years old. I operate out of East Bay Harbor in Acme, Mi. My boat is a 31 ft Tiara Open, and has all of the latest and best electronics and safety equipment. I am taking bookings for the 2012 season now so please email me or call me at 231 946 5158. Heading home in a couple days and I’m going to miss sights like this. But super happy to be getting back to Traverse and start the work on the boat and get the 2019 season under way.
My grandson, Austin, on the water today. He loved the boat ride!
A nice picture from this week. Weather has been gorgeous and we had some calmer seas finally.
Kevin just sent me this from the water. Captain Luke with dinner.
Had some of my clients come down and fish with my buddy John and I this week. This was our first fish and before I could say anything they were in the water swimming with this Goliath grouper! What a cool pic, they swam with it and made sure it was good to go and watched it swim back to the depths. Caught lots of fish and had a ball. Thanks for making my week guys.
Good time last night. Thanks for getting the crew together Rod!
When the drag started screaming I knew it was a big one. 30 lbs. great fish Derek!!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve had a minute to post. This last couple of weeks had been nuts.

Cloudy morning and doubled up on Kings. They landed them both. Rains holding off and light winds today. Fishing should be good all morning.

Exciting news!!!! We just bought two condos right down the beach from the marina. We have a 2 bedroom 2 bath full kitchen unit and a studio unit. Both ground floor, and the beach is gorgeous.
The doubles first available date is September 15th and we are taking bookings for next year on that now. We just finished renovating the studio today and it is has lots of openings this summer! I will be doing package deals on rooms and fishing. Text me or call me ASAP if you’re in need of a place to stay this summer or next. 2312184493 .

Mrs. True Blue about to start on a pile of blue crab!
One of my favorite pastimes while in Florida is wading in the shallow water around the mangroves and netting blue crab. The past couple days have been awesome!!! With some real monsters. Big crab cook out at our place tomorrow night.
Luke and John had a gorgeous day today on the water. Luke hooked a monster Goliath Grouper and fought it for a looong time and got a good pic and released it. Had to be over 350lbs. Caught some great snapper and porgies as well.
Captain Luke was fortunate enough to get to fish with team “set 4 life” at the SKA key west division 10 kingfish tournament today. Big seas today but they got it done with some huge King mackerel. The biggest (not shown here because the tournament keeps the big fish) was 58.6lbs. The big one in this pic is 53lbs. They are in 3rd place for big fish and 1st in aggregate. Lots of fun watching these gorgeous boats chase these big fish. Thanks to captain Lou, Jorge, Juan for letting Luke join the team.
Luke, Adam and I pulled the boat yesterday. We want to thank everyone for another tremendous season! So many memorable moments, tons of memories made, new friends. Looking forward to 2018 and what it brings. Wishing you all a great winter.
Luke caught his 2 man limit of coho this morning and some ciscoe. The weather is going to be awesome tomorrow morning and we have an opening. If you're thinking about going this is your chance. Give us a call or text 2312184493 .
Luke and I had one client this morning. We got Todd his limit of salmon and some bonus ciscoes. Fishing just continues to be good. Weather is amazing.
Luke and I smoked the cohos again today and got a big king. 10 coho and a king. Tons of fun.
Luke and Barry had a great morning. 9 coho and a king. Always great to have you up sir!!!
True blue ladies salmon classic team. They landed some awesome fish and placed second! Thanks Sally, Megan, Becca and Deb. And you looked good doing it in those nice True blue shirts.
Two time Olympian Desiree Linden was on the boat with her husband Ryan this morning. She landed a couple of nice kings and her limit of lakers. Desiree runs the marathon for the USA. Super young couple. Thanks guys. See you at the farm this fall.
