I was really looking forward to a relaxing Morning on the water yesterday. Watch the sunrise and drink my coffee. Maybe put on some classic country music, you know chill.
But these guys showed up and were too good at casting and jigging! They crushed fish from their first casts. I would try to pour a cup of coffee and I would have to stop to net a fish.
An amazing morning on the water with some great guys. We have about two weeks of this shallow water casting so give me a shout if you want to have a morning like this.

Huge points for the hat and extra points for having the tongue out while reeling. Nothing better.

What a great start to the season the couple weeks have been. Fishing is excellent and this morning captain Luke and crew caught a 9 lb 31” walleye! What a great fish. You can always check availability on website www.fishtrueblue.com.

Captain Luke will be pulling the boats around in style this season. Luke with his new Chevy 2500 diesel truck. Can’t say enough good about working with Ed Thaxton at Williams. Ed is a life long friend and the best guy you could want to work with. If you ask nice he will get you some of the famous Thaxton peanut butter fingers! A real taste of my childhood.
Big boat goes in on May 15th and the Lund is tricked out with some new big Jon product for the season and ready to jig or troll. Looking forward to another stellar season.

Well the mutton didn’t want to go but sometimes you have to pivot. Ran across a big school of yellowtail in a spot I’ve never fished. Slammed some hogs and my buddy and I brought home our limit. Some fine eatting. Thanks for all the well wishes from you all! I’ll make it another year the doctor says.

Well wish me luck. I have on my lucky mutton snapper shirt. It’s been a rough winter for me health wise. I’m on the mend now and getting out today feels good. We will be home and ready to fish early May!

The winds have been wicked and going to get worse the next day or so. Thankfully they are finally out of the west so we can get some cover and fish.
Luke and aaron got out this morning and had a great trip. The fish were super silver and in great shape. One dark male and the rest great. Kevin and I jumped in for a picture when they got in. Clients were super happy. We have some days open over the next couple weeks and the fishing should remain excellent.

Luke took his sister, brother in-law and nephew out for a quick pass on the bank tonight. Landed these quick and came in.

The boys have been fishing morning and night nonstop and the fishing has been good. Tonight they were very busy boys. Very proud of Luke and Aaron for putting in the work this season and taking such great care of our clients.
