What a great way to start the weekend

Classes are now LIVE for the 2026 International Fly Tying Symposium!

And we’re kicking things off with something special on Friday night.

Barry Ord Clarke is flying in from England, and before the Symposium officially gets underway, he’ll be teaching an exclusive Deer Hair Masterclass from 6:00–8:30 PM on Friday, November 20.

Barry will dive into one of fly tying’s most versatile materials, covering essential deer hair techniques, material selection, and ways to get more from deer hair at the vise. The class also coincides with the release of his new book, Deer Hair – Flytying Masterclass.

This is just one of the classes available this year—registration is now open for all Symposium classes.

Beginner Fly Tying Classes

Registration Starts on SEPTEMBER 1st, 2026

for Class (Limited space available)

Includes hooks and materials for flies being tied.

$250.00 for classes (cash only)
Paid at fly shop.

Payment needs to be paid in full by December 10.
FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.

Classes starting January 7 2027. 10 sessions scheduled for every Thursday at 6pm. Multiple classes may be added.

Classes include fly tying, knot tying and fly casting.

(tools and equipment available for you to use at no charge during class)

Along with special guest speakers and guest fly tying instructors.

Last class in March will be a Fly Casting Class with fly fishing included at private lake. No fishing license required. This is FREE to all who participated in class!!!

For more than 25 years, JCWA has worked to protect and conserve the Jacobs Creek Watershed through environmental education, water quality monitoring, watershed restoration, recreation, community clean-ups, and conservation projects. We cannot do this work without the support of our community. That is why we are asking you to become a JCWA member. From (tomorrow) August 14th through September 21st, 2026 we are encouraging new members and former members to join JCWA and get involved in our work happening throughout the watershed.
