More pictures from Lorna! What a fun day!
AOHC fosters positive physical and mental health for people and horses, together.
We do that through a combination of equine-assisted services, horseback riding, and horsemanship.

On Saturday, several of our students had a chance to work with Lorna Palmer (of Human Horsemanship), and it was an amazing day! Look at the sweet connection between Pocket and her kid. Thanks, Lorna, for helping us communicate and connect with our horses in kind and meaningful ways.

This summer has FLOWN by, and we're the luckiest because we had oodles of fun with so many great kids and ponies. Look at our last week of horsemanship: Talk about teamwork! (With Puzzle poking her sweet little face in too...)

Who says that kids should have all the fun? We had the most amazing adult three-day horsemanship clinic, and I'm pretty sure that all parties, two-legged and four-legged alike, agree: We want more! Thanks to our intrepid riders, who aren't afraid to saddle up and try new things.

No fireworks or grills at a barn, but we can still have fun! Happy Fourth to all of you.

Our first week of Summer Horsemanship is off to a super cool start! One of our equine dentists, from Northeast Equine Veterinary Dental Services, came for Charlie and Milo. Both groups of riders got to see Dr. Bonnette taking great care of the horses' teeth. Thanks, NEVDS!

Time to bid Kole, our giant goofball, a very fond but bittersweet farewell. He was on loan to us for the school year, and today he goes back to summer camp in Maine. We were lucky to have him here for so long! Goodbye, you adorable red-headed mischief-maker. We will miss you!
