In the first search area, moving air (fan) added complexity by dispersing the scent, making this blind search a challenge. The question was whether the dogs could locate the target odor despite the airflow. Peanut secured first place with a swift 12.6 seconds, while Linux followed closely with a time of 14.72 seconds. In the paired category, Bandit took the lead with an impressive 11.19 seconds.

The next round, containers, provided a warm-up for these experienced dogs, with even greater challenges awaiting in the following rounds. In the paired category, Gunner claimed first place, and in the odor category, Linux achieved a remarkable time of 3.09 seconds in a search involving ten containers. Peanut took another first place in the Junk Pile round, while Nestle topped the Storefront round.

The final scores are as follows:

Teddy - 5

Scent League night!

Lots of points earned in scent detection last night. This is a great group of dogs and people!

Tonight in Scent League, our timed interior searches did not disappoint. Butters was holding strong in first place until, in an exciting twist, Linux climbs to the top of the board, barely giving his handler a breath before saying "search" and "ALERT!" The dogs searched with confidence tonight. Congratulations everyone!
