Massachusetts Maple Leafs Hockey Club

College/Junior Hockey Advancement and Development Program

The Mass Maple Leafs Junior Hockey Club currently has four teams in its organization; a Junior B Team that is a member of the Eastern States Hockey League, a Junior National Bound league, and an 18U AAA Team, a 16U AAA Team, and High School Development Team that plays a competitive independent midget schedule prior to the start of high school season. The Mass Maple Leafs were established in 1997 with one objective in mind; to provide a quality, competitive, and supportive environment for young hockey players to achieve their personal goals. In 1999, the second team was added to help further the careers and goals of more players. The Maple Leaf staff emphasizes hard work, dedication, and personal sacrifice to achieve the program’s highest goals and to develop the character necessary for players to be successful on and off of the ice. Through the collaboration of both the coaching staff and the Leaf players an ultimate demonstration of teamwork is exhibited. In 2012, Two more teams were added to enable more players to recieve quality coaching. The four teams allow for more than 80 players to be developed in a model that has helped produce several college bound and professional players. in 2013, more programming will be increased!

Mission: The 15 year Maple Leaf tradition has seen many players use the program set forth by the administration to achieve their hockey goals, whether it is advancing to Junior A programs, varsity college programs, or college club programs. The Maple Leafs compete against other Junior, Prep, and College Club programs in a variety of showcases and non-league games throughout the season in addition to their league schedule in the Eastern States Hockey League to improve the player’s abilities to ensure the completion of their future goals. Mired in a winning tradition, the Mass Maple Leafs Junior Hockey Club has missed its league playoffs only once in its 15 year existence. During this time, Leafs players have earned several tournament, regular-season, playoff, and national championships. Through its winning ways the Maple Leafs have garnered respect nationally from fellow counterparts, and as a result, have developed working relations and affiliations with the Janesville Jets and Springfield Blues of the North American Hockey League, the Minnesota Ice Hawks of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League, and the Buffalo Stars of the Empire Junior Hockey League. These commitments and affiliations have helped pave the way for Leafs Players to advance their hockey careers. Through the stressing of personal responsibility and accountability, the Maple Leafs programs provide the knowledge and tools that players can take advantage of to improve foremost as a person, and secondly as a hockey player. The organization understands and emphasizes that only the player and his dedication and efforts will lead him to his ultimate success. The Maple Leaf program is proud of its team and player accomplishments throughout its 15 year existence and continues to strive for and pursue excellence in every facet as an organization for its players and potential future members of the program. As an organization the Maple Leafs have proven success can be achieved through the commitment to excellence by every individual that dawns a Leaf sweater.
