The last 7 days have been extremely tough losing 2 members of my hockey community to tragic accidents Josh Ferreira was one of the reasons why New Bedford Blackhawks/Mass Maple Leafs even existed. Mr Ferrreira (Tony Tony)and Josh were inducted to the Mass Maple Leafs Hall of Fame and was part of its first members.I knew Josh since he was 10 and have 100s of memories.

I will share this one because it always made Josh laugh.

Josh was playing in Norwich CT and was on a breakaway and at the blue line wound up took his patented missile slap shot and scored. He came back to the bench and I said Josh you were on a breakaway he responded I know but if I can score from blue line why should I skate all the way to the net and he laughed and so did I Josh Capt Smiley as MA Leaf would call you I love you and miss you RIP
