Kennworth Tennis Center is closed today due to Veterans Day. There is no round robin tonight.

I am going to try and put together the first ever Pickleball team out of Kennworth this winter. It will be an Alta Pickleball team that plays on Saturdays at 4:00 starting January 20. I will captain the team and I am looking to recruit some players! Are any of you interested? We need 5 men and 5 women to make our team. The match consist of 1 men's doubles line, 1 women's doubles line and two mix doubles lines. You would need an Alta Pickleball membership and the cost to play on the team would be less than $15. No experience necessary in pickleball because tennis players can pick it up quick! Also this is for fun! If interested call or text me at 678-800-5405 before October 22. I would like to introduce our new Adult Drills coach out at Kennworth Tennis Center starting this week. His name is Coach Mitchel. He has taught at Towne Lake South as well as Cherokee Tennis Center. He comes highly recommended. Come out and try it out! The Adult Drills schedule will be Mondays and Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm Intermediate to Advance. On Tuesdays he will do Advance Beginner to Intermediate Drills say 2.5-3.0 USTA level from 7:00-8:30pm. On Fridays he will bring back Cardio Tennis from 6:30-7:00 and then have Round Robin from 7:00-8:30. The cost for both is $15. The Round Robin only is $10. I would also like to thank Coach Zwelo for doing the adult drills the past couple years and he will be coaching our adult teams at Kennworth Tennis Center in the evenings. So if you need team coachng please feel free to reach out to Coach Zwelo. I look forward to seeing you out at Kennworth!

Kennworth Tennis Center is looking for players for a B4 Thursday morning team for the fall. Deadline is next week. If interested please let me know and I will get your info to the captain. After 20 years of teaching at Kennworth, starting Monday I will be the new Tennis Manager of Kennworth Tennis Center! I know some of you still come out for drills and round robins and I look forward to seeing everyone again.

I am helping out Saturday at a Charity Tennis Tournament at Bentwater! If you are interested in playing here is the flyer. Women check in by 9:00 and play from 9:30-noon and men check in around noon and play from 12:30-3:00. You can just show up to play. It is doubles and you can play with a partner or we can match you up with someone. If you come in 1st or 2nd place you get one of these!

Passing on a little info about a new league for adults. The league is MITB. Sign up if interested!

Help us out and spread the info. Our team league is open for the March spring season. Men’s and women’s, regular and senior. We designate it so players can play both Alta and MITB. Players who captain in the spring season receive the $15 membership for free. Alta charges $30. We charge only $15 for the whole year.

Coach Zwelo is going to take over the Friday night round robin's and drills. He is going to keep the same day and times starting with round robin this Friday. I am sure I will see people around. Thank you again!

After long consideration I have decided to take a break from teaching tennis. I am going to focus on my trophy and awards store. The last round robin I will be doing is tonight and the last drills I will do is Monday and Wednesday of next week September 28 and 30. My family and I appreciate all the support for the last 20 years! Thank you! Coach William
