We had the Athletic Awards Banquet 2026 last week and wanted to share a little from the event with you. We had 4 students given awards and 2 of our graduating seniors present.

🎮 Careers in Esports: If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a major gaming organization, our Careers in Esports camp is for you. From tournament organization and broadcasting to high-level competitive strategy, we are pulling back the curtain on the fastest-growing industry in the world.
Focus: Computer building, shoutcasting, and professional gaming pathways.

💻 Game Design in Roblox: If your student loves playing Roblox, it’s time to take them behind the scenes to learn how the games are actually made. From mastering level design to building immersive worlds, this camp is the perfect introduction to the fundamentals of game development and digital creativity. Whether they are aspiring developers or just want to see how their favorite games work, this is a week they won't want to miss. Spots are limited to ensure everyone has a dedicated station in the lab!
Focus: Creative building, world-building mechanics, and design logic.

Hello Tigers!

🏆 We are excited to announce that on Friday, May 8th 2026 the ECU Tiger Esports Overwatch Varsity team won the title of NECC D9 National Champions!!

This victory came after a harrowing 7 game series against the Baker College Bees. Thank you to everyone who watched in person and at home. It was a blast to be able to have friends and family celebrate up in the lab with the team.

Congratulations Overwatch Varsity, we can't wait to see what you bring to next season! 🥳🏆

📺The stream will be set up in the UC Estep and available live on Twitch. Desserts will be provided. Game starts at 8:00pm May 8th. Match will consist of a best of 7 series.
