Best color Urchin Bait? We get asked daily as we sell hundreds a day. I still think you use general fishing logic as a starter. I think of jig colors. If ypu are fishing a pond or shallow fish on lakes like Santee Cooper ans foah are feeding on bluegill its gonna be hard to beat scuppanong and green pumpkin colors. Clear water lighter colors and naturals may shine more, especially on off shore fish in a shad or blueback situation. And sometimes the brite colors like chartreuse and morning dawn colors shine for whatever reason. If I could only get one I would go green pumpkin....because everyone knows that color will shine all across the country in stained or clear water. But some of the biggest ones we have seen come on the chartreuse and gold dust colors on the FishCo Okane. Some say the large 17.8 is the way to go but we had back to bac 6 # largemouth a few weeks ago on the 9mm GP OKANE. So like any bait, you have to see what your fish want.
