The Adamsville Varsity Lady Cardinals secured a commanding 12-2 win over Riverside today, led by an outstanding performance from Sophie Edwards. Edwards went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, hitting three doubles and driving in multiple runs. She also earned the win on the mound, pitching five innings, allowing just three hits and two runs, while striking out four.
Adamsville's offense was explosive, especially in the second inning where they scored six runs on five hits. Key contributions came from Grace Belton with a sacrifice fly and an RBI double, Makenzie Luna with multiple singles and RBIs, and Mollie Grayce Moore, who drove in two runs and had a strong defensive showing with eight fielding chances. Hayley Sims also recorded multiple hits as the team totaled 11 hits overall and played error-free defense.
They will now go up against the Scottshill Lady Lions. If they win tonight, we will go on to the championship game on Friday!

UPDATE: Today's softball district tournament game has been moved to Monday due to rain. It will be at 7:00. Come out and support the Lady Cardinals!
The Lady Cardinals will travel to Scotts Hill to face Riverside in their first round of the district tournament tonight (Friday, May 2) at 7:00. Good luck to our Lady Cards!

The Lady Cardinals got a big district win over Riverside tonight 8-0. Freshman Sophie Edwards threw a no hitter, striking out 9 in 7 innings of work.
Baylee Brown had 2 hits, and Baya Bromley, Grace Belton, Makenzie Luna, Sophie Edwards, and Hayley Sims each had 1. Bromley's hit was a double.
The two teams will play again tomorrow at Riverside.

The Lady Cardinal softball team defeated Madison 12-1 tonight. Sophie Edwards earned the win on the mound, striking out 10. Hayley Beth Brewer led the team at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a homerun and 3 RBI. Baylee Brown had 2 hits. Mollie Grayce Moore hit a double, and Grace Belton hit a triple. Hayley Sims and Baya Bromley also had hits in the win.
