Davis - Baggett Motorsports

Went to Needmore Speedway for the Gene Maine Memorial and did not show the speed we had. Qualified 8th out of 16 messing up both qualifying laps. Track was super rough (probably roughest) I’ve ever been on. Started 8th fell back to 10th got back up on the wheel and got as high as 7th ending up 8th. Got some work to do on body, send shocks back off but we are gonna get back at it. Thank you to all my sponsors for making everything happen, thank you to friends and family and new friends made at the track. Special thank you to Ethan Davis, Jason Baggett and Lil Jason Baggett for all the help this weekend, y’all had everything rocking.

I want to give a big shout out to Ethan Davis, Jeff Baggett for getting the car to the track last night while I was at work. The #94 XR1 was great, had some issues with engine but can be fixed. Chance Smith you had Needmore on point last night, thanks for the test session.

UPDATE. We will not be headed to North Florida Speedway tonight. We found some bent parts from last week and do not have any replacements. Sorry to the fans and sponsors but we will order some parts from Rocket and get it repaired.

The parade was a huge success. Lots and lots of happy kiddos seeing cars and candy. Saw some friends with their children and smiles on faces. Thank you to everyone who came out.

Coming off a great run at the Early Bird, the team will be taking the #94 XR1 Rocket to North Florida Speedway this Friday for their race. We invite all our sponsors, friends, and family to come out and support the team and Chris as he pilots the machine in search of victory lane.

We are truly thankful to be able to do what we do and without everyone we just couldn’t do it. HEY EVERYONE: The team was invited to join in for the community parade. It is an honor to be invited and the guys have the cars shined up and ready for the parade route. The parade is for the Thompson Rd. Community in Hahira in their subdivision. Come out and celebrate with us. Plus also in the parade will be the team’s newest driver Ian Baggett son of Jeff and Cassie. He will be wheeling his new machine. So come out get some candy and say hello to the drivers. Parade starts at 4.

MAN, where do I begin, we have worked all weekend fighting a tight race car for the Early Bird. Struggled in qualifying, struggled in practice. But the crew Ethan Davis, Jeff Baggett, Jason Baggett, and Little Jason changed everything under the car before feature time. Qualified 20th out of 25, started 20th and drove up to 11th and blew right rear tire. Came in changed tire went back out to 15th and in 10 laps drove to a 5th place finish. I am truly blessed to have awesome friends and family to crew this car. Without them I would not have raced tonight. I can never thank them enough for giving me an awesome piece for the feature. I also want to thank my sponsors for giving me the opportunity to do what I love. One proud driver tonight. Thank you to all the fans who came up and told me great job. Memories were made tonight with some awesome people. Thank you all.

Took the new ride out last night for some testing. We were very impressed with the way XR1 responded. ALRIGHT GUYS AND GALS. The ROCKET XR1 #94 piloted by Chris will be at Needmore Speedway in two weeks for the Early Bird Race. The new car with new Travis Kern power plant will look to make a huge showing for this special event. Our team would like to invite all friends and family to come down and meet the driver and team.
