This is officially the LAST WEEK of the 2026 season at the Adel Family Aquatic Center!

Our final day of the season will be Sunday, August 16th, so there’s still time to squeeze in a few more cannonballs, trips down the slide, dives off the boards, and afternoons soaking up the summer sun! ☀️🏊‍♀️💦

Come join us for one last hoorah before we officially say goodbye to another summer at the pool!

🌧️ **Aquatic Center Weather Update** 🌧️

Due to today's weather conditions, the **Adel Family Aquatic Center will be closed for afternoon open swim (12:30–5:00 PM)**.

At this time, we are **planning to hold private swim lessons beginning at 5:00 PM** and **reopen for evening open swim at 6:15 PM**, weather permitting.

We will continue to monitor conditions and post any additional updates if plans change.

⚠️ Important Safety Update: Full Face Goggles No Longer Permitted ⚠️

To help keep our pool safe for everyone, full face swim goggles/masks will no longer be allowed at the Adel Family Aquatic Center.

Many of these masks, as well as some traditional swim goggles, are made with tempered glass. While they are designed for underwater use, if one were to break in or near the pool, glass shards could enter the water. For the safety of all swimmers, this would require us to:

• Close the pool immediately
• Drain the entire pool
• Carefully inspect and clean the pool for any glass fragments
• Refill the pool and rebalance the water chemistry

This process could result in the facility being closed for up to two weeks.

We also ask parents to check all swim goggles before coming to the pool. If the lens is stamped with “Tempered Glass” (typically found in the corner of the lens), those goggles are not permitted in our facility.

If your child has a pair of full face goggles or goggles labeled “Tempered Glass,” please stop by the Admissions Desk. We will gladly provide a pair of approved swim goggles for your child to use during their visit.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as this policy is in place solely for the safety of our guests and to help prevent an extended facility closure.

Aug 5th: Morning swim has been cancelled due to low temperatures and expected storms. Thank you!

We will not be open for evening swim tonight at 6:15 pm due to the weather that is moving in to our area. Private Swim lessons will be held as scheduled.

🌽💦 3rd Annual Corn Dive! 💦🌽

Kick off the Sweet Corn Festival with one of our favorite traditions!

Kids ages 5–12 are invited to jump in and search for specially marked ears of corn hidden in the pool. Find a winning ear, and you could score some awesome prizes!
