Cook Hornet Cross Country

Good evening everyone!

This is a reminder that Cook Cross Country will hold its award ceremony tomorrow evening at 7:00pm.

Everyone, especially athletes and their parents, are welcome to attend. There is no fee to attend.

The ceremony will take place at CHS in the auditorium. Awards will be distributed to athletes and sponsors, and light refreshments will be provided after.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Our Cook Cross Country runners were sure to attend The Princess Fun Run 5k yesterday morning in honor of Ms. Tai’lynn Luden. We appreciate all who attended and supported this event!

Cook County Cross Country would like to invite you out to what will be our only home race of the season: The 2nd Annual Cook Hornet XC Classic!

Our Hornets have taken to the course over many weekends since August and are feeling fit and ready for tomorrow morning! 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

Senior Recognition begins at 7:15am with the high school boys 5000m race to follow at 8:00am. If able, please make plans to attend! We appreciate your support! Go Hornets! 🐝

Our Running Hornets finished the season strong today in Carrollton. Our girls teams finished 16th in the State 2A meet. Our boys team finished 17th in the State 2A meet. Way to run Hornets!! 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️💛🖤🐝

STATE is on our mind! Hornet Cross Country made history this morning as both the boys and girls teams qualified for the GHSA State Championship at the first ever Region Sectionals. Senior Caden McDaniel was an individual qualifier, placing 5th over all for the 2A Boys Sectionals and 4th for 2A Region 3. Cross Country will travel to Carrollton on Saturday for the state meeting. Way to run, Hornets!

Previewed the course and enjoyed a meal. Ready to run in the morning.

Cook Cross Country had an amazing finish to the regular season tonight! Both CHS Boys and Girls placed third overall against some tough competition. Senior Caden McDaniel finished first for CHS Boys and tenth overall for the meet. Senior Kierstin Mathis finished first for CHS Girls and eighth overall for the meet with freshman Lilly McDaniel right behind her placing ninth. CHS Boys finished ahead of Worth, Fitzgerald, and Colquitt County. CHS Girls finished ahead of Atkinson County, Worth, and Valdosta High. Cross Country will now prepare for Sectionals in Fairburn, GA next Saturday.
