2026 Testing Dates

A reminder of the upcoming class schedule for Raccoon Valley Martial Arts Academy in Adel:

Thursday, December 18: We will have a regular class tonight.

Tuesday, December 23, is our holiday party, and the last class of the year. Students are invited to wear holiday pajamas, sweaters, t-shirts, hats, etc. to class. Please also wear your TKD belt. We will do a short TKD class, play a game, and decorate sugar cookies. For black belts: those wishing to workout or practice forms are welcome to stick around after the holiday party for an informal black belt class.

No classes on December 25, December 30, or January 1.

We will resume our normal class schedule on Tuesday, January 6.

We are monitoring the weather this afternoon (December 11) and will make a decision to hold or cancel class at 4 PM. Please err on the side of caution and stay home if you are not able to safely travel to Adel. Your safety is of primary importance! —Master Baker

2025 TKD Testing Schedules. All color belts test in Adel. Black Belt testing (including 1st dan brown belt testing for temp black) test in Bettendorf.

Reminder: Tuesday, December 17, will be our annual holiday party in Adel. Students are allowed to wear holiday attire to class, including Christmas PJs; holiday sweaters, t-shirts, or sweatshirts; hats; etc. Be sure you can still be active in whatever you choose to wear as we will do some TKD and play some active games as part of our party, as well as decorate cookies and make a craft to take home. See you at class!

Color belt testing is tomorrow, September 28, in Adel!

Students who have been recommended for testing have been told they are testing. They also have a white stripe added to their belts. (White belts have a yellow or black stripe on their belts.)

Testing starts at 9 AM. Please arrive by 8:45 AM to fill out testing forms and warm up.

Testing is this morning!

For those students who are testing (which means Ms. Baker put a white stripe on your belt and gave you a testing form to turn in at class earlier this week), please arrive at the dojang in Adel at 8:45 AM. Remember to wear your full uniform; no t-shirts for testing. (a t-shirt under your uniform is fine)

Testing starts at 9.
