Former pro J. Peter Martin wrote the book (literally) on golf in the Adirondacks and was a huge inspiration behind the @adkgolftrail.

Welcome to round three of Adirondack Golf “Name.. That.. Course!”

These early 1900s “chocolate drop” design features were made by piling field stones, covering with dirt and planting seed to up the challenge on a relatively flat hole.

Ready, set, go!

Rainy day run to the local transfer station yielded quite a find in the Adirondacks… 😎

We’ve heard some crazy stories of old golf finds (e.g. feather balls) inside the Blue Line at old course sites or during excavation…

Moriah oh Moriah… what an amazing 9 hole course on the @adkgolftrail 🥰

We are just going to say it… we had feelings of Augusta National green complexes on hole #3 and #7. Perched on slopes with no room for error. What a treat!

One of the oldest courses in the Adirondack Park with more charm than you can handle for 9 holes… you need to Play an Adirondack 18 (two loops) when you pulled into this hidden gem in Port Henry.

No Champy 🐉 sightings for us this go around while in town, just a couple birdies… 😎

Saranac Inn Golf & CC was such a blast! Jim and his crew do a great job keeping this course in great shape through the summer.

This course is a Seymour Dunn gem that will test your entire game from the long ball to the flat stick with many interesting design features (looking at you shelved green on #9…).

There was a large group staying at the Inn on site having a grand old time which made us slightly jealous… 😎

Definitely a great spot for a golf weekend with friends & family with easy access to Upper Saranac Lake across the street!

We’ve seen many alert systems on the trail once you clear the green and this Dinner Bell is a favorite.

Name… that… course!

Played a hazy “Adirondack 18” (two loops around a 9 hole track) at High Peaks Golf Course in @discover_newcomb and WOW is this an awesome course!

We rode the course with @farmtohughes in May and caught the unbelievable High Peak views, but didn’t have our sticks…

Newcomb is a MUST on the @adkgolftrail and if you are looking for a drop dead leaf peeping round, this is it!
