Proverbs 1:7 — “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

That’s the thread through this whole day. Chaired my 2nd meeting today — 11 people, better turnout than last week — talking about controlling the monster. For me that’s killing the flesh, staying sober, choosing discipline over what’s easy. That’s fear of the Lord lived out: humbling yourself enough to keep learning instead of thinking you’ve got it figured out.

Got to see it answered too — prayed for a guy last week and today he shared healing in his arm and a good doctor’s report. Amen. 🙏

From there straight to The Lab MMA to run a sparring workout — dropping sweat, fighting for our lives with the gang on a Saturday. Nothing better. Then an awesome workout with the Lab family.

Thank you Ashley for the vids ❤️ and then right to an incredible cookout (steaks, brats, chicken, everything — thank you Barb ❤️), now capping it off hiking the dunes at Grand Mere the beach is so beautiful words can hardly describe.

Family. New friends. Recovery. Answered prayers. Sweat and sacrifice. Wisdom over foolishness. This is what it looks like when you apply the instruction instead of despising it.

Grateful for the little moments and the big ones. Also Excited for what’s to come.🔥

Wednesday grind with my brother Damian Alvrezfkifucbe 💪🔥 5 miles for me, 4 for him — then pull-ups, dips, and bodyweight lunges till the legs gave out. Capped it with 3 rounds sparring, 3 rounds shadow boxing. Iron sharpens iron.

Monday night work. Consistently grinding. 15 guys or 1 or 2, it doesn’t matter — I appreciate my team and my partners. Y’all push me to be the best version of me. 🥊

Heavy heart today too. Lost a young brother in the program this weekend — 25 years old, looked like he was finally finding some joy in his life without the bottle. This disease is cunning and baffling and it will drag you to the gates of hell if you keep picking up. Rest easy, warrior. Fighting for you too now.

Still figuring out my career, no perfect financial plan for my family, still new on this journey — but I know if I keep reaching up, out, and in, renewing my mind instead of leaning on my own understanding, God will order my steps. Proverbs 16:9.

Sparring and Boxing Work complete. Onward and upward. Laser focus to finish this year strong. Grateful for everyone loving me and everyone hating on me — both keep me sharp and keep me in the Word so I don’t stay a dummy forever 🤪

Cracker Barrel at 7:30am. Chaired my first AA meeting and closed it out with the Lord’s Prayer. Laid hands and prayed over a man’s elbow in a cast same meeting. Shortly after Led an MMA sparring workout at The Lab. All before 2pm. 🙏🥊

Jobs, finances, life — still crazy, still not where I want it to be. But sober? Best decision I ever made. About a week out from 3 months and I’ve never felt this alive.

S/O my dogs who pushed me through sparring today — 🐾
