Just a few from the Recital

Ready for Nationals #herewecomeOCMD!!
I want to give a HUGE shout out to Melissa Landry and IOAD! Last night's recital was absolutely fantastic! This is my daughter's first year of dance, so this recital was the first one I've been to since my own back in the early 1980's! I was truly impressed with how smoothly everything ran last night, and how SAFE it felt to have my daughter in your hands for the evening! I am a pretty anxious mama and I was not worried at all, and could feel relaxed that Raven was in good hands! Melissa, you absolutely are amazing in your abilities to make sure all the working parts and people come together to put on a stunning and professional show. I am so happy I chose your studio for Raven's first dance experience, and I look forward to what she decides to learn next. It was VERY clear that all of your students LOVE what they do, and have been taught throughout the year to have FUN while practicing and becoming stronger dancers. My daughter and me are new to this whole new world of dance, and it is so very clear that you and your amazing crew have created a family, not just a business. Congratulations to all the dancers who received awards and to the Seniors who are headed towards the next chapter in their lives. I got chills all night long watching the performances, and can't wait for the next one. Thank you so much, Melissa, for doing what you do, and doing it so darn well!!!!

We are currently in our 17th year of teaching quality dance to students beginning at age 2.

Get to know our Assistant Teachers every Monday!

Our next Assistant is Marissa Deslauriers!

Marissa is a 18 year old Senior at Agawam High School. Her favorite subject in school is English, her favorite food is Mac and Cheese, her favorite movie is the entire Harry Potter series and her favorite animal is a Penguin!

This is Marissa's 5th year being an assistant and she is assisting Miss Lexi in Beginner Contemporary and Miss Danielle in Junior Lyrical Team. Marissa is also teaching Beg Jazz and is working in the front office during the week helping with COVID checks. Her favorite part of being an assistant is helping kids find their joy for dance. She wanted to be an assistant to share her love of dance!

Marissa's role model is her her grandfather and great grandmother because they were always unapologetically themselves and didn't care what anyone thought of but also always made sure that everyone around them was happy before themselves.

Thank you Marissa for being a great role model to all the younger dancers at IAOD! We will miss you next year!
