Last Wednesday’s playoff game did not go the way the 10u team wanted it to go. It was a very close back and forth game until the 5th and final inning. Elliot H had a big base loaded triple to clear the bases and get the Dirt Dogs within 1 and would eventually score to tie the game in the 3rd. The Dirt Dogs hit the ball hard, but unfortunately the balls were being hit right at Wilbraham who also played very well in the field.

Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U couldn't keep up with Wilbraham Falcons 10B and fell 14-5 on Wednesday at 310 Main St.

Wilbraham Falcons 10B opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Wilbraham Falcons 10B first got on the board when Blake R singled, scoring two runs.

A double by Mason P extended the Wilbraham Falcons 10B lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the second inning.

Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a ground out by Ryan P, and a triple by Elliot H.

Wilbraham Falcons 10B took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Rory H grounded out, Sean G singled down the left field line, and Jackston D singled to right field, each scoring one run.

Wilbraham Falcons 10B scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Luca R hit a solo home run to left field, Blake singled, scoring one run, Sean singled, scoring one run, Jackston singled, scoring one run, and Nolan P singled, scoring two runs.

Levi S began the game for Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U. The hurler surrendered five hits and eight runs over two and one-third innings, striking out five and walking six. Nolan stepped on the bump first for Wilbraham Falcons 10B. The starter surrendered two hits and five runs over three innings, striking out five and walking four.

Elliot provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U with three runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Ryan, Xander W, Aiden R, and Elliot each collected one hit for Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U. Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Levi and Grant L led the team with two free passes each. Ryan, Xander, Levi, Aiden, Elliot, and Grant each stole multiple bases for Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U. Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U stole 14 bases in the game. Agawam Dirt Dogs 10U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jack B had the most chances in the field with seven.

Wilbraham Falcons 10B tallied 13 hits in the game. Jackston led Wilbraham Falcons 10B with four runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The pitcher went 3-for-3 on the day. Jackston and Luca each collected three hits for Wilbraham Falcons 10B. Sean and Blake each collected multiple hits for Wilbraham Falcons 10B. Nolan O led Wilbraham Falcons 10B with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Nolan, Luca, Blake, and Rory each stole multiple bases for Wilbraham Falcons 10B. Wilbraham Falcons 10B stole 13 bases in the game. Wilbraham Falcons 10B didn't commit a single error in the field. Nolan had the most chances in the field with six.

Agawam Dirt Dogs 12U spring season came to and end last Saturday as they fell to the C division Champions Holyoke in the play-in game. Holyoke came with the best pitcher that the 12u team had played all year and ultimately it was too much to overcome. Luke W got the game ball for pitching 4 quality innings giving up just 1 run while striking out 7. Tyler C went 3-3 and continues his Dirt Dogs playoff hitting as he’s a career 7-7 with 2BB in the playoffs. Although JLS doesn’t recognize play in games as playoff game, we all know this was a playoff game.

Agawam Dirt Dogs 12U had trouble keeping up with Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U in an 11-3 loss on Saturday at Picknelly Field.

Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Noah C singled, scoring two runs, Javien R drew a walk, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.

Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U added one run in the second. Ariel C grounded out, making the score 5-0.

Nelson J earned the win for Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 16 and walking none.

Connor M and Alex H were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Agawam Dirt Dogs 12U. Tyler C went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Agawam Dirt Dogs 12U in hits. Tyler stole two bases. Agawam Dirt Dogs 12U didn't commit a single error in the field. Alex had the most chances in the field with 13.

Noah drove the middle of the lineup, leading Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Javien led Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U with two hits in three at bats. Isaiah T led Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 14 walks for the game. Javien, Ariel, Noah, Issac S, Raul M, Jonathan M, and Isaiah each stole multiple bases for Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U. Holyoke Youth Baseball 12U stole 21 bases in the game.

Agawam Dirt Dogs 8U spring season ended last Saturday in disappointing fashion. They played a very well coached Wilbraham team, that they were able to beat when they played in Agawam, but couldn't quite get a win against them when they played in Wilbraham. Jackson C got the game ball going 2-2 with a double and pitched 1 1/3 innings giving up 1 earned run.

Wilbraham Falcons 8U defeated Agawam Dirt Dogs 8U 12-2 on Sunday at 310 Main St Wilbraham thanks in part to eight runs in the second inning.

Agawam Dirt Dogs 8U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jackson C singled to center field, and Garrett F walked, each scoring one run.

Wilbraham Falcons 8U tied the game up in the bottom of the first thanks to two doubles. Wilbraham Falcons 8U tied the game at two on a double by Finn S.

Wilbraham Falcons 8U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring eight runs on five hits to take the lead, 10-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Cameron S on an 0-2 count that drove in two.

A ground out by Finn extended the Wilbraham Falcons 8U lead to 11-2 in the bottom of the third inning.

Beaux F earned the win for Wilbraham Falcons 8U. The starter gave up three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out six and walking four. PJ M took the loss for Agawam Dirt Dogs 8U. The hurler went one inning, giving up 10 runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking four.

Jackson and Garrett each drove in one run for Agawam Dirt Dogs 8U. Hayden S stole three bases. Agawam Dirt Dogs 8U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Tyler G made the most plays with four.

Nicholas C set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Wilbraham Falcons 8U with three hits in three at bats. Cameron and Finn each drove in three runs for Wilbraham Falcons 8U. Wilbraham Falcons 8U had patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Donovan M and Charlie O led the team with two walks each. Cameron and James B each stole multiple bases for Wilbraham Falcons 8U. Wilbraham Falcons 8U stole 11 bases in the game. Wilbraham Falcons 8U didn't commit a single error in the field. Cameron had the most chances in the field with eight.

The rain is finally gone and the 10u team is ready to start their playoff run!

Another day another Agawam Dirt Dogs playoff game. The 10u team goes to Spec Pond to look to have the same success there that they had in the Memorial Day Tournament!
