Last weekend pulled up to the NAGA in Newtown CT and had a great showing! Huge thank you to all our competitors for representing our gym so well and congratulations on incredible performances! Young was able to take gold in his first tournament after only 5 months of training. .ward was also able to take gold in his first competition at intermediate in dominant fashion! did what he always does and took two medals in his division and the absolute and battled back through some incredible competitors to win bronze with two perfect foot locks!

🔶 Saturday Open Mat moves from 9:30AM ➡️ 10:00AM
🔶 Leg Lock Lab is now moving to Saturdays RIGHT AFTER Open Mat instead of Sundays

This gives visiting students and drop-ins a better opportunity to stay after training and learn high-level leg lock concepts, setups, and finishing details from Coach Nate — whose leg lock game has led to countless competition wins 🦵🔥

April was a great month for us at Ironhold Jiu Jitsu, we had some well-earned belt level ups that reflect the hard work being put in.

Huge congratulations to Andrea and Diego on their promotions. Both have been putting in consistent effort, showing up, improving, and earning every bit of recognition that came their way.

A special shoutout to Coach His promotion is a direct result of the dedication he brings not just to his own training, but to everyone around him. He’s someone who leads by example, always pushing himself, always showing up, and always willing to help others grow. The time, energy, and commitment he pours into the gym doesn’t go unnoticed, and this next step is more than deserved.

Competition class every Friday at 6pm at Ironhold Jiu Jitsu!

Lately we’ve been doing in house quintet matches as a way to simulate competition nerves and intensity, and to practice coaching and supporting our teammates. Lately it’s been so fun we’ve been staying for over 2 hours just to get more fun in. Come nerd out with us and get some work in!
