With great respect and sincerest gratitude, we honor our veterans not just on this Veterans Day, but every day for their brave and courageous sacrifices and service. We thank you for protecting our great nation and our freedom. May God bless you all for doing what so many could not.

It was also gratifying to have the pleasure this evening of seeing Council members and/or their children that we taught as well years ago.

Such an incredible honor tonight to not just receive an award of recognition from the City of Agoura Hills, but to hear such heartwarming words of support From Mayor Penny Sylvester and Dr. Marc Silverman made it difficult for Johnny and I to speak. We could never thank all of our past and present JGK students, families and supporters enough for their incredible loyalty through the years. June 12, 2025 officially marked our JGK 30th anniversary and we still feel as excited to get on the mat together as we did that first day in 1995. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for making what we do for a living not seem like work at all. It truly is and has been our privilege and honor.

To every brave and courageous man or woman who served in any of our nation's military branches, we sincerely thank you all for your honorable service and sacrifices. We, along with our great nation owe you a huge debt of gratitude. Every one of you are the very definition of a hero along with our first responders, all of whom make this country so incredibly proud! May God bless each one of you for protecting us and our freedom!!

Today marks our opening day at Johnny Gyro Karate in Agoura Hills 29 amazing years ago!! We are so honored and proud to have met so many truly wonderful students, families, neighbors and friends over the years that became, and so many still are, such a meaningful part of our JGK studio family today! Working with children comes with huge responsibilities to build them up by instilling lifelong positive core values and this became the extremely rewarding and gratifying part of our career that we treasure the most. Our adult students are incredible to work with, they are dedicated, committed and so enthusiastic about their Martial Arts. If we could have handpicked all those that have entered our doors through the years, we could not have chosen more supportive, positive and appreciative families! Thank you to everyone that is or has been a part of Johnny Gyro Karate for the past 29 years with our sincerest gratitude for making it possible for us to absolutely love what we do for a living every day. It is and has been a privilege and an honor. We are and will be forever grateful to you all!

Hoping everyone had a safe Memorial Day as we reflect on the price paid for our freedom by the countless courageous heroes who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our great country. To all those valiant men and women that are actively serving today and risking everything, you are undoubtedly among the bravest and most selfless individuals in our nation. We are eternally grateful to every member of our military and to our heroic first responders as well for their honorable and dedicated service.

To every brave veteran, past and present from every branch of the military including our first responders, we gratefully thank you and honor you for your service and your sacrifices in protection of every citizen in our great country! There is no greater or selfless sacrifice than to risk one's life to protect another. Every veteran and first responder lays their life on the line risking the unimaginable. We sincerely thank you with our deepest gratitude and respect. Please do not pass up the opportunity to thank these courageous men and women for their valiant service.
