[05/17/20]   Oahu Taekwondo students, parents and friends:

We will re-open for classes with several precautions to safeguard you and our instructors this coming Monday, May 18th.

We are taking every precaution to ensure our students and instructors are safe in the studio. We will be taking the temperature of students when entering the door, sanitizing the studio before, and after classes, and have our instructors wear masks to protect themselves and our students.

Parents will not be allowed in the gym in order to keep the numbers down. (If your child cannot take class without you in the gym, email or call us to discuss other options.)Parents are welcome to check in on students. Please be courteous with drop off and pick ups.

Please send a water bottle with your child for each class.

Keep an eye out for our email. If you don't receive one please reach out to us.

[03/20/20]   Oahu Taekwondo students, parents and martial arts families,
we are taking every precaution to ensure our students, families, and instructors are safe during these times. Complying with city, state and government regulations, we are currently open running classes no bigger than 10 students. Our facility and our equipment have been disinfected and cleaned, along with this, we are wiping down all paddles, cones, ropes anything used during the class for everyone’s safety.

We are asking for your patience during this time. Our instructors are working on using this time for private lessons and small groups. As a result of this inconvenience we will be providing make up classes and opening alternates days for students. We will also being setting make- up classes on Saturdays by request. This is a time of uncertainty for many people and businesses. Continuing of memberships rather than placing accounts on hold, will allow us to ensure that our facilities and staff will be available and ready to serve you upon the return to scheduled classes.

We appreciate your understanding that stopping/pausing payments can risk permanently closing our studio. Oahu Taekwondo is a family and as a community we need help each other out by working together to get through this unprecedented ordeal. We want to remain open to provide a safe environment and a productive extracurricular activity for you and your family when this is over.

Statement on the Covid 19


Oahu Taekwondo Center (OTC) has been closely monitoring updates from the State of Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus).

We would like to share with you the precautions and procedures that we have implemented to help ensure the health and safety of all of our students, athletes and spectators.

· No classes or spectators larger
than 50 will be allowed in the gym.

· Classes will be dismissed 10
minutes early to avoid over

· Daily cleaning and disinfecting of
our gym (mats, equipments, etc.).

At this time, OTC’s class schedule will remain unchanged until further notice.

Any changes to daily operations will be posted to our social media accounts.

In accordance with the CDC, DOH and the for the health and safety of the athletes, spectators and event organizers, OTC has cancelled the Hawaii State Championship, that was scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020.

For those athletes who wish to partake in the 2020 USA Taekwondo National Championship in July, USA Taekwondo (USATKD) will issue a waiver to any affected athlete, and they will be qualified automatically. Registration fees will also be refunded.

We are in the process of getting more details on how you can request a refund and waiver.

OTC will continue to spread the word of how to stay healthy within our gym and outside. As a reminder, please continue to practice preventive measures, like staying home when sick; covering your mouth with your sleeve when coughing; avoiding touching your face, and particularly your eyes and mouth; and washing your hands.
