Look at them just getting along and sharing!
We are probably the smallest horse farm in Aiken, South Carolina.
For now.
🎉Not anymore!🎉 Now we have nearly eleven acres to build out into paddocks and a training pen. 🐎

If you had told me Friday that it was gonna be Poe that struggled with the fireworks, I wouldn’t have believed you. It was the small ones that squealed that upset him. Probably hurt his ears.

Ben was so offended when John moved his hay net.

Happy Gotcha Day Poe!!!

Just a few early morning farm scenes. Opal under the setting moon, Ben and Mando sharing a pile of alfalfa, Poe enjoying his favorite food (alfalfa) and Solstice unsuccessfully stalking a cardinal. They’ve all since retreated to their favorite spots to endure the heat but the overnight and early morning hours are pleasant right now.

An Opal update… I was worried about her in this heatwave but she’s doing ok. They’re all drinking lots of water and I’ll see her planted right in front of her fan in the shade on the cameras.
These temperatures are offensive.
Also, why am I getting ads for Horseware winter blankets!?!?

Poe saw me spraying the ground in the breezeway and came galloping up for a spray. He loves getting hosed down.

Judging by the way I was sweating during evening chores, I think the heat wave is here.
