An update on our c-section duo — Both mom and baby are doing very well, but mom needed more time in the hospital to rest and recover, and the c**t needed to get out of the hospital stall to exercise and socialize. After a detailed discussion with our vets, we made the decision to graft the c**t onto a nurse mare and bring him home. This will give both mom and baby the best chance for a full recovery.

We are so relieved that both mare and c**t are doing so well after this difficult delivery! And, we are pleased to welcome nurse mare Bertie to our farm for the next six months! 🥰

We are so thrilled that our c-section duo are thriving. They should get to come home early next week! Such a handsome boy! 🥰🤩

Breeding isn’t for the faint of heart! Yesterday one of our mares went into labor with her foal in the wrong position, and it quickly became an emergency. We are so fortunate to have Performance Equine Vets in Aiken! They quickly assessed the situation and performed an emergency c-section, ultimately saving both mare and foal. We are profoundly grateful for their expertise and dedication! 🙏

The Easter Bunny left us a special gift this year! A beautiful filly on this beautiful spring day! 🌸🐣🐇
