Meet Mr. Miles. He is a 16.2h grey 4 year old Thoroughbred gelding with a big heart and a fun, goofy personality. He is exceptional for his age and ready to head in whatever direction his future partner chooses. With the right program, he has a bright future ahead and would make a lovely event prospect.
Miles has been off property to schooling shows and handled it all like a pro. Recently schooled training level, jumps ditches, banks, and water. He is a joy to have around the barn and stands quietly for the farrier, grooming, bathing, and hauls well. He is happy turned out with friends or on his own, and he brings a playful gelding personality to everything he does.
He has been started over fences and is absolutely lovely on the flat with easy, comfortable gaits. He is learning lots of good basics and has started simple sideways movements. Like most young off the track Thoroughbreds, he can get a little heavy in the hands if a rider holds his mouth, but this is very typical for his age and training level.
Miles has been used in lessons with competent young riders and takes new riders in stride. He hacks out confidently and has been in the cross country field both alone and with others. He is a brave, willing young horse who wants to please and enjoys his work.
He does have an old scar in one eye from an ulcer as a yearling. It does not bother him or affect his work, but it is there and fully disclosed.
