Trophy Chase

I have been an artificial lure purest. Live bait is cheating, or at least I used to think so. I have grown into a fisherman that uses every too in order succeed. Start with hardware and then move to live bait. Thoughts???

Heading to Erie this week to chase small mouth!

Made a mistake with switching outboard companies this summer. Back to Johnson! No problems, starts every time and I don't have to worry about getting back to the dock.

Had to give a shout out to Gamma fishing line! Tested their 12lb copolymer against king salmon in small timber filled rivers. Fished flawlessly, no worries with casting, and held up very well in all that timber.

Been some time since I've been on here, but we are still rolling. have several trips coming up here for the fall season. Just got back from salmon fishing small streams in Mi. Heading up to Wisconsin for muskie. Going to be doing some trips to Pa for trout this fall. Ice fishing for trophy browns this winter. shoot me a line if you wanna fish and chase some trophies.

I've been out prospecting the lakes around northern Ohio. Water levels are still pretty low. Hoping we get some big rain in the next couple months.

Has anyone seen the fantastic new products from the ICAST event that was just held down in FL?????? There are some really exciting new products.

Its been some time since I had internet connection! Ohio has been gripped by the same drought that most of the country has been suffering through. Some of our inland lakes are down as much as ten feet, and fishing has been tough.
In order to score we have been doing things a little differently. Fishing through the night and focusing on traditional and some not so traditional summer patterns.
Warm water species are still bitting really well with many trophy fish still coming to the boat. Muskie and pike have been coming on strong! More toothy fish so far this year than any other! Several pike surpassing the ten pound mark! It's such a delight to know that our water ways are improving so much! When I was growing up catching a pike was unheard of and now we are catching pike over forty inches long almost every week!
