Grief does not always look the way we expect it to.
It can be the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, financial stress, health battles, the passing of a pet, or the quiet unraveling of the life you thought you were building.
At Rogue Awakening, what we do has never been just about movement. It has always been about people. About creating space for real life, especially when it feels heavy, uncertain, or overwhelming.
If you are carrying grief in any form this season, you are welcome here.
Through December 31, you may attend any class, as often as you need.
No limits. No explanations. No questions asked.
Use code GRIEF at checkout when booking a class on our app or website, and we will take care of the rest.
This offering is for current members, past members, and those who have never walked through our doors before. If you need somewhere to breathe, to move, or to simply exist alongside others, this space is yours.
The holidays can amplify what is missing and make everything feel heavier. Sometimes healing looks like routine. Sometimes it looks like breath. Sometimes it looks like lifting heavy stuff. Sometimes it looks like being in a room where you are not expected to be anything other than human.
Our Breathwork Journey on December 18 is included in this special and is a powerful option for anyone navigating grief. It is grounding, intentional, and deeply supportive during this season.
For active members: when booking a class, please select a payment option other than your membership, then enter GRIEF in the promo code section at checkout. This will zero out the class.
This is one of the ways Rogue Awakening will continue to make an impact beyond our walls, now and for years to come.
If this season feels like too much, come find balance in the hustle with us. You do not have to carry it alone.
With gratitude to Pure Barre Athens for the inspiration behind this offering.

County Provides Emergency Funding to Support Residents Affected by SNAP Disruption
$250,000 grant to Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank will help address urgent food needs
SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—County Executive Ilene Shapiro and County Council approved emergency legislation this evening authorizing a $250,000 grant to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank to provide food assistance to residents affected by the potential loss of federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
More than 77,000 Summit County residents in nearly 43,000 households rely on SNAP, which provides an average of $15 million per month in food assistance. However, as of October 27, Congress has not passed a federal budget or appropriated funding for the continuation of the program. According to a notice from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, there will be insufficient funds to pay full November SNAP benefits for approximately 42 million individuals nationwide beginning November 1.
In response, Summit County Council passed an emergency resolution at the request of Executive Shapiro, authorizing the Department of Job and Family Services to execute the grant agreement with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. The funds will help expand the Foodbank’s capacity to serve local families who may experience food insecurity as a result of the federal funding lapse.
“Tens of thousands of Summit County residents, in all 31 communities, depend on SNAP to feed themselves and their families,” said Executive Shapiro. “While we cannot control the federal budget process, we can act locally to help fill the gap. We are grateful to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank for their partnership and tireless service.”
This emergency funding builds upon the County’s existing partnership with the Foodbank, which includes an existing $324,000 contract for food distribution services approved earlier this year. The additional grant will ensure that local food providers have added resources to help meet increased demand in the coming weeks.
