Portage Country Club is a proudly participating club in the Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholars Program.

The Evans Caddie Scholarship is one of the largest and most prestigious scholarship programs for golf caddies. Founded in 1930 by legendary amateur golfer Charles ‘Chick’ Evans Jr. the program provides deserving student caddies attending partner universities across the United States. The scholarship awards exemplary caddies with full tuition and housing.
Evans Scholar applicants must demonstrate a strong caddie record, excellent academics, financial needs, and outstanding character and leadership.
