Better Half Tour Bass Fishing Tournaments

We've had several call regarding the weather. There is a chance of storms anywhere from 1:00 - 4:00 around West Branch. Our advice is ALWAYS safety first! Keep your eye on the weather and get yourself to safety if there is a storm. If you choose to take your boat out of the water, keep your livewell running. If a storm passes before 3 and you want to put back in, you may do so. All teams will still need to check in by 3:00 to weigh fish. If you choose to leave early, please text 330-289-1001.

The West Branch Battle is this Saturday! Registration at the Rock Springs Rd. ramp from 6:45 - 7:45 a.m. YES, you can register and pay at the ramp. $50 annual team membership, $75 tournament entry, $10 optional big bass. 50/50 raffle for Ohio Total Weight Championship. See you all there!

You wake up freezing.
By lunch it’s 78°.
By dinner there’s a tornado watch and somebody’s grilling anyway. 😭

That’s Ohio spring.

The weather app just gives up.
Every forecast looks made up: ☀️ Sunny
🌧️ Rain at 2
🌪️ “be alert”
❄️ Possible snow overnight

SNOW?? It was shorts weather three hours ago. 💀

Meanwhile— Ohio people are outside no matter what.

• One guy wearing gym shorts and a hoodie in 45° acting like it’s Miami
• Somebody planting flowers fully ignoring the black clouds approaching at Mach 5 🌷
• Another standing on the porch sniffing the air like: “smells like rain…” 👴

Brother EVERY CLOUD IS SPINNING. 😭

And somehow the entire state turns neon green overnight.

Grass growing at disrespectful speeds.
Everybody suddenly mowing lawns 4 times a week.
Pollen hitting like a biological attack. 🤧

Your car? Yellow.

Your porch? Yellow.

Your lungs? Also yellow probably. 💀

Then comes the thunderstorms.

Not regular rain either— the kind where the sky turns green and dads immediately walk outside to “take a look at it.”

Sir the trees are bending sideways. PLEASE go inside. 😭🌪️

But nobody’s panicking.

Because Ohio people survived winter depression, fake spring, second winter, and mud season just to get here.

Now every warm afternoon feels sacred.

Kids outside till dark.
Windows cracked open.
Neighbors grilling in light drizzle like weather is merely a suggestion. 🔥🌧️

And every single person saying: “just wait five minutes… it’ll change again.”

Because in Ohio…
spring isn’t a season.

It’s a weekly weather speedrun. 💀🌦️

Congratulations to our super crew team, Chuck Cremeans & Heather Prohaska, our Spring Fling CHAMPS! They topped the 17 team field weighing in 8.30 lbs. in 3 fish. They even got a bonus - Big Bass with their 3.83 lb. fish.
