Weight can be so misleading. Three people can weigh exactly the same, but have completely different body composition.
Your body consists of both fat and fat-free weight. If you focus solely on cutting calories and excessive training, you may be losing weight, but you’re not losing fat.
So once you get to your idea weight, and still feel like you need to lose more, or lost muscle tone and skin elasticity, this is probably why.
That’s because successful fat loss focuses on improving body composition — reducing fat mass while preserving or building lean muscle.

🌟 10 THINGS TO REMEMBER AS YOU EMBARK ON YOUR FITNESS JOURNEY🏃🏽♀️🏋🏽♀️
1. Muscles grow during rest not during the workout
2. Calories and protein are essential for muscle growth
3. Adequate sleep increases fat burning and aids in muscle repair
4. Cardio improves heart health and endurance, but excessive intense cardio may result in muscle loss
5. Proper warm-up and stretching help decrease stiffness, prevent injuries, and improve flexibility
6. Start gradually. Consistency is more important than intensity
7. Lifting heavy weights will not make you bulky
8. Proper form matters more than the weight lifted. Get professional guidance.
9. You can’t out work a bad diet.
10. Motivation is fleeting. Discipline is key

Are you regularly getting enough sleep?😴 🛌 If not, what are the reasons?
Lack of adequate sleep can disturb the hormonal balance that regulates appetite and metabolism, resulting in the failure of many people from reaching their weight loss goals despite endless hours of working out and dieting.
7-9 hours is crucial for fat loss because it regulates appetite hormones, improves insulin sensitivity, reduces cravings for junk foods, and helps your body burn fat instead of muscle during weight loss.
As we age, we lose about 3-5% of muscle mass per decade, speeding up after age 60…and since muscle is important for strength, power, balance, and longevity…building and preserving it should be a priority

Did you know that working out is stressful to your body? Great stress, helpful stress—but still stress. When you exercise, your body produces cortisol and initiates the stress response. The magic only happens if you can recover from it.
So if you’re burnt out, drained, or living in a season of chronic stress, forcing the issue won’t help with your progress… it’s like pouring gasoline on a fire. Sleep is always the better choice when you’re running on empty.
Eating sufficiently and sleeping well is what reduces cortisol and allows you to recover, make gains, lose body fat, and come back stronger. If you neglect those pieces, cortisol runs the show… usually straight into fatigue, frustration, inflammation, weight gain, and injury.
Resting isn’t losing progress. It’s occasionally pressing pause so your body can benefit from the work you’ve already done. 💪🏽❤️
