George Music Dart Leagues

Summer leagues are here! Tomorrow, we start the George Music Dart Leagues summer season with our Wednesday reverse handicap doubles.

Such a great turnout! We had 20 teams sign up for the league & we split it into 2 groups based on team ratings. This should help our fall league players when building out teams for our ratings based leagues.

Barberton Civi Club will be packed with 12 teams! We have 2 new boards at the Civi, for a total of 10 boards now. If you want to learn how to play, build your current game or just hang out with good people, stop out to the Civi!

We have a few tournaments next weekend as well. The All Women's tournament got moved up to June 13th at 1pm.

We will be hosting a 110 cap, bring your own partner doubles tournament Saturday night at 7pm. If you need to know what your rating is, take your highest known cricket average, multiply it by 10(3.0 average times 10= 30) then add that to your 01 average. A 30 & 3.0 player will be a 60 rating.

June 14th is the Adult Junior tournament. This may be a tough one, as some of our local players will be out in Iowa at the Junior Nationals. We will be starting at 1pm again.

Another great day at the George Music Dart Leagues All Women's tournament yesterday. Woth the beautiful weather outside, we knew it would be a smaller crowd, but still got 15 ladies out to test their skills!

Madison Prosser took the king seat position, having to battle through tough opponents to grab it. Shauna Harper lost to Madison early, but worked her way back thru the bad side of the bracket to meet her again in the finale. Madison prevailed without losing a set, great work ladies! 3rd place went to Keeley Dan Ritch, one of our local youths getting prepped for her travel to Nationals this coming weekend. Great shooting as always Keeley, keep it up! 4th place was earned by Amy Smith. Amy has been working on her game the last year & it shows, with big shots at big moments in each match. You're doing amazing Amy, can't wait to see your growth the rest of this year!

Mystery triple for the women was $80/dart & unfortunately was not hit by Lisa Borrell-Stierl. Next month all women's triple is at $111 a dart. 50/50 was hit by Lisa as well! Way to go moneybags!

Thank you to Kevin Bigdaddy Henry, Angela L. Jackson, Chrystal Soohey, Misty Thompson-Smith & Amy Smith for helping run the tournament with me having 4 leagues happening at the same time as the tournament unfortunately. You guys rocked it & I greatly appreciate all of your help. Thank you to Kelley Dunaway McKean for bartending & Meghan McKean for coming in last minute to cook up some food! We all appreciated it!

June's All Women's tourney is coming up quickly, 6/13 at 1pm. This tournament will be followed by a bring your own partner 110 cap doubles tournament at 7pm. Then Sunday 6/14 is the Adult Junior tournament for June. Make sure to mark your calendars!

Today is THE day! The George Music Dart Leagues All Women's tournament is at the Barberton Civi Club today at 1pm.

44 10th St SW, Barberton 44203. 12:45pm registration will be closing. We should have a packed house, so get here early to get your seats. Kitchen will be open with a full array of options along with Kelley Dunaway McKean behind the bar to get your aiming fluid filled!

Gameplay will be 501 open in/open out, cricket & choice in both winners & losers brackets. This is a handicapped singles tournament. $10 buy in, Nicholas Hill Agency is adding $200 to the pot. Been a few days, but we have another George Music Dart Leagues champion in DRTs Daily Remote Tournaments by PPD, last night!

Elizabeth Estelle took on the 2.0 cap singles & finally got over the hump & took home the crown & ALL the money! Way to go lady, I know how many times you have been SO close to getting that singles win. Great work & keep up the practice!

We have our All Women's tournament THIS Sunday at 1pm. Please come on out & join the raucous crowd of ladies!

This Sunday at Barberton Civi Club is the George Music Dart Leagues All Women's tournament.

If you haven't been out for one yet, make it this month & get your 6 tourneys in for your free entry to the end of year All Women's tourney, with big cash payouts!

We had 26 women last month, so let's get over that 30 barrier this Sunday. We have women only mystery triple, 50/50, great food & drinks all day.

$10 entry, gameplay will be 501 open in/open out, cricket & choice. This is a handicapped tournament, so all levels of players are encouraged to be there! Flip & go 1st & 3rd games, loser starts 2nd game.

Well it's a rainy day in Chicago this morning. Getting ready for a full day of high level darts! We had some George Music Dart Leagues teams doing work in the DRTs Daily Remote Tournaments by PPD last night. Looks like we have another budding star in our area, as well!

Premeeting for Team USA this morning with Nick Dichiria. Let's go USA!

In the 4.5 cap doubles Elizabeth Estelle & Levi Bartschy took their games to the next level to get to the championship, in a division with 15 teams to contend with. They finished the job too, winning the lions share of cash & a championship, great work you two!

Levi wasn't done last night though....Allen Drake wanted to get in on this action too. Allen joined forces with Levi in the 6.0 cap doubles. With 10 teams in the division, it was another long tourney, but no match for these 2. They came out with the championship & the cash! Great work fellas!

Next Sunday, May 31st, we will be having our 4th installment of the All Women's tournament. Last month brought 26 ladies to the oche & there were fierce battles all day. I know we have a few out of towners coming in for this months tourney, so let's pack the Barberton Civi Club & get over 30 ladies!
