Hillsboro ends history-making season as state runners-up | The Highland County Press The Hillsboro Lady Indians completed their history-making season as Division IV State Runners-Up, as they were defeated in the state championship game Thursday by the Kenton Ridge Lady Cougars, 9-0 at Firestone Stadium in Akron.

The first two divisions of Girls Softball starts today continuing until Sunday at the Historic Firestone Stadium in Akron celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

The OHSAA Girls Varsity Softball State Tournament is celebrating its 47th annual event.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 4TH

10 am - Division 4 Semi Finals
#1 Springfield Kenton Ridge (30-0) vs #5 Lexington (24-3)

Kenton Ridge won the D2 title in 2022, was runner up last year & back in the Final 4 this year.

Lexington this is their 1st Final 4 trip since 2002.

12:30 pm- Division 4 Semi Finals
Cortland Lakeview (22-4) vs. #3 HILLSBORO (22-3)

First trip for both schools. Hillsboro has won the FAC 5 years in a row & gone 50-0. Eight seniors on the team including ace pitcher Camryn Spruell.
