Fit 24 boot camps consist of combining cardio and free weights which allow you to burn fat and develop lean muscle. This 45 minute workout is intense, but designed to let people set their own pace. The boot camps are held both indoors utilizing treadmills and outside the Fit 24 facility. Each workout also includes a five minute core session. Boot camp times are from 10 am to 10 pm and just $30 a week. You may also come as many times as you want.

[11/24/17] As of Monday, November 21, Fit 24 is under new ownership & management. Keith has stepped away to focus on his mother's health. He will still be working with clients; however, will not be a part of the management team moving forward. In addition to the ownership change, Fit 24 will be going through a rebrand as of January 1, 2018. We will be operating as Fit24-7. We have brought on a full-time Chief Legal Officer and he is working to accelerate our franchising. Are you having trouble losing those last few pounds? Try these suggestions:
1. Measure your serving size accurately.
2. Learn how to estimate serving sizes: 1/2 C = size of an ice cream scoop
1 C = Size of Tennis Ball
1 Oz of Cheese = size of a domino
3. Use Portion control dishware.....smaller dishes, bowls, and cups
4. Dish out your servings separately.....from the pans on the stove, not from
bowls on the table which encourage eating seconds
5. Make your own single serving packs by measuring foods into zipper bags
or small containers
6. Measure oil carefully.....there's a lot of calories in all oils, even the good
7. Control portions when eating out. Eat 1/2 or share the meal wit a friend.
Learn to like the flavor of the salad by not drowning it in dressing.
8. Add Veggies to casseroles and sandwiches or meals to add volume without
9. Learn to listen to your hunger cues.....eat when hungry, stop when not. Eat
slowly and remember that it takes about 15 minutes for your brain to
get the message that you are no longer hungry.

[08/11/14] FYI: Christmas is only 136 days away. Need a stocking stuffer for a loved one? How about a gift certificate from Fit24. Come in and get some. Its really easy.
I read this in an article in Diet and Nutrition. Watch out for these 5 foods that "seem" to be healthier than their counterparts but actually have some issues.
1. WRAPS. Wraps are thought to be healthier than bread because they are thin. However, they are large and pack a lot of calories. Also they may be made with refined grains instead of the dietary fibers we need. Read the ingredient lists to make what the top five ingredients are.
2. VEGGIE BURGERS. Sounds healthy, right? Again read the ingredients. A lot of these burgers are processed and contain many fillers don't even resemble vegetables. Look for a product where each patty contains less than 150 calories and have 7 grams of protein. More than 10 grams of protein most likely means there is more wheat gluten and soy protein than actual veggies.
3. COUSCOUS. Yum! Who doesn't like this answer to pasta or rice? But did you know that couscous is made with the same flour that most pastas are made with? The suggested alternative is whole-wheat couscous or quinoa.
4. GLUTEN-FREE BREAD.Gluten-free doesn't necessarily mean healthy. Look at the label....especially the amount of sugar and sodium. That's what's added. Also notice what's missing. Without the whole grains, the B vitamins and fiber are no where to be seen.
Look for ingredients such as brown rice flour as the first ingredient.
5. TACO SALAD. As with gluten-free breads, Salad doesn't always mean healthy. When eating out, salads may be the healthiest choice, but ingredients such as ground beef, sour cream, and guacamole are all high fat ingredients. And when ordering a salad ask for your dressing on the side and use 1 tablespoon or less.

[04/10/14] How much cardio do we really need? At the very least, the current recommendation is 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity every week (more if you want to lose weight). However, if you are into HIIT, 20-30 minutes 3 times a week, with a weekly total of only 6-9 minutes of all out bursts with recovery periods in between was equivalent to exercising at a moderate pace continually for 40-60 minutes 5 days a week. What that means is that The Department of Health and Human Services decided that 75 minutes of VIGOROUS-intensity exercise is comparable to 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise.
