Alameda Friends of the Park Foundation loves to support our parks and our community. Here’s our float entry in the July 4th parade. Thanks to the parks crew, volunteers and Board members for making this possible.

The Rotary Club of Alameda will be giving away fruit tree saplings at Spring Shindig this Saturday April 18 12:00-3:00 pm at 1101 West Redline Ave in Alameda as part of our efforts to increase Alameda’s tree canopy. Stop by, learn about Rotary and get a free tree for your yard. We also do tree plantings in Alameda parks a couple of times per year, and help the environment in other ways like monthly shoreline cleanups and our first annual lithium-ion battery recycling event on Saturday May 16 11:00-3:00 at City Hall Plaza. Thanks to everyone who attended our 11th annual Play for the Parks Golf Tournament and Dinner on May 19th! With just over 100 golfers we had a wonderful day raising money in support of our Alameda parks. Please join us next year and bring out your bikes on Saturday, September 27th for our Family Fun Ride around Alameda!
