The Rotary Club of Alameda will be giving away fruit tree saplings at Spring Shindig this Saturday April 18 12:00-3:00 pm at 1101 West Redline Ave in Alameda as part of our efforts to increase Alameda’s tree canopy. Stop by, learn about Rotary and get a free tree for your yard. We also do tree plantings in Alameda parks a couple of times per year, and help the environment in other ways like monthly shoreline cleanups and our first annual lithium-ion battery recycling event on Saturday May 16 11:00-3:00 at City Hall Plaza. We’ll be at the Spring Shindig and so will the Alameda Rotary Club. They’ll be handing out free fruit trees. Join us all there!

Thanks to everyone who attended our 11th annual Play for the Parks Golf Tournament and Dinner on May 19th! With just over 100 golfers we had a wonderful day raising money in support of our Alameda parks. Please join us next year and bring out your bikes on Saturday, September 27th for our Family Fun Ride around Alameda!
