Hope you’re keeping up with your routine and also staying safe! Here’s a workout you can do at home!

9am workout with your Boerne/Leon Springs Trainer team! WUT WUT!

Grab your mat, weights, and water and jump in.

Start at 1 rep of all exercises, increase by 1 rep until you do 10 of all 3 exercises. Then start your next round.

Round 1: weight squat, chest press, sit up
Round 2: hc mat shuffles, single arm shoulder press, hc rear lunge
Round 3: monster walks, squat press, bent over rows
Round 4: weighted thruster(pop tart burpee), hc Russian twist , hc high knees

Important announcement! Due to rain in the forecast tomorrow and confined spaces for rain locations, we are not holding any physical workouts tomorrow morning. This may also be the case for the evening too. All workouts will be conducted virtually. We encourage all our campers to log in virtually and get your workout in from home! Please reach out to any trainer for questions or more info. We will also have one of our trainers go live from this page in the morning. We thank everyone for your patience and understanding at this time. Your safety and the safety of our community is of the upmost concern.

🚨Camp Update🚨

Due to the new CDC recommendation, the guidelines we are choosing to follow is limiting gatherings to no more than 10. So effective TODAY (until further notice), we are asking that you reach out to the Trainer and RSVP at the location you are planning to attend. Once the 9 slots (trainer being the 10th) have been filled, then all others are being directed to join us FB live for a workout. Our top priority is keeping everyone safe and protected as much as possible during this time.

If you’d like to reserve a spot for any Alamo Heights workouts, send a message to any of our Alamo Heights trainers: Mariah Fink, Bryan Smith, Ryan Evans, Jenny Vázquez, and Sarah Barrientes.

Update on Camp and COVID-19

- Many cities have enacted a declaration prohibiting groups/events of more than 500 people. While many events are being postponed and cancelled, camp is still on!

- Download the Camp Gladiator App to check in. Trainers can check you in, but no shared touching on the iPads until this ban has been cleared.

- Bring and use your own equipment. Trainers will be adjusting workouts to remove shared equipment for the time being and will not have mats or weights to lend. It’s a good idea to wipe down your own mat and weights after your workouts.

- Limit your physical contact as much as possible. Air high fives still pump your battle buddies up! Trainers will modify partner work during this time so that you limit physical contact.

- Stay home from Camp if you’re not feeling well. This tip is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)

- We will start posting at home workouts on the Camp Gladiator page soon to keep you going with your fitness routine if you are unable to attend camp. Be on the lookout.

- Wash your hands. We are encouraging Trainers to provide extra hand sanitizer at Camp. It’s also important that you keep washing your hands during the hours when you’re not at Camp.

Hey CG, it’s Sarah here. Just some random facts about myself. I was born and raised in Austin. I received my bachelors at Texas State/SWT in Exercise and Sports Science and my masters in Special Education at UTSA . I’ve been teaching and coaching for 14 years. I’m happily married with two kids (sophomore Brahmadora and a junior at UT HOOK ‘Em). My wife was recently diagnosed stage 3 Breast Cancer and kicking its booty! We got this, BETTER TOGETHER.

Why did you want to be a CG trainer?
• For 10 years I have run a bootcamp out of my garage. In 2008, I watched my high school buddy Ally Kelly Davidson WIN American Gladiator and use her platform to inspire thousands of people to Take It Outside. And so Camp Gladiator began.

My Chi Omega sorority sister Jennifer Ward Trimmier (yes, I was in a sorority but that’s a story for another post lol), a longtime CG trainer, mentored me and answered all of my many questions about CG.

While my personal journey took me to CrossFit, which I still love and coach, I kept finding myself being asked by people if I would help them with their fitness journey. I couldn’t accommodate all of them in my garage. So, after all these years of seeing the joy a fitness community can bring to others, I have decided to become a CG trainer. With lots of time before and after work over the last few months—IT’S GO TIME!
