Cyndee is having a garage sale this Friday and Saturday. Lots of men’s clothes size 2x. All items like new and some with the tag still on them. Thought some snowmobilers would be interested. In addition to clothes lots of other great buys. Address: 6814 Obervalden Dr. At Schuss Mountain. Time: 8:00am until 3:30 pm. Stop bye. Thanks. Mike Shagena
How are the trails up that way? Was going to go to East Jordan thru Alba but heard it might be bumpy.
Hey all last Saturday night I left the hideaway at about 8:00 pm heading back to Lakes of the North. Got to the cabin and my Garmin Montana GPS was gone off the mount. Thanks for keeping an eye out for me.
Are you guys grooming in lakes of the north???
Good morning! An Out-of-Towner here looking to do a little riding from Alba today. Can anyone tell us what kind of shape trails 76 and 4 are in headed Southeast from there?

Great time in the beautiful UP!

We’re just 5 days away from the 3rd annual Up invasion! If you don’t have plans, make arrangements to come. A group of club members rode the Keweenaw last week and report the colors are absolutely fabulous!

If your ever looking for a great place to stay in the Keweenaw Peninsula give the Wildlife Refuge Cabins a look! Very nice, clean cabins and the owners are great! They rent cabins year round for ORV or snowmobile adventures.

September 2020 Newsletter

[08/31/20]   WOW! That’s all I gotta say about this weekend! This years ride can be imitated but won’t be duplicated! Mother Nature delivered and 43 awesome riders descended on the clubhouse grounds. The drizzle subsided and the sky’s parted to reveal just enough sunshine to make for one great day. Chef Brian and his crew made sure everyone was fed before we departed to the woods of Northern Michigan. The backroads were paved with plenty of muddles and small mud holes, a drastic difference compared to last year where 2nd and 3rd in line were eating dust seconds from the clubhouse. We traversed our way eastward having the trails all to ourselves. After a couple nice trailside stops we met Doug, Crystal, Tom and Debbie at a nice riverside location for lunch. There wasn’t much talking but a bunch of munching as the group ate waking taco, which were a huge hit! After lunch we departed southwest as we found more virgin trails. No good ride would be complete without a part failure, unfortunately this year it was NASCAR style belt change! Chef Brian’s belt decided it had enough and he and Kevin (he always comes to the rescue, thanks Kevin!) went to town changing it. 2 works and 10 supervisors, it was like a quality government job 😊. After the brief pit stop we were back on the trails headed toward the clubhouse. After parting with our Lakes of the North crew so they could head home to clean up the rest of the crew pulled into the ACSC after a great 72 mile ride! Shortly after returning a light rain started and we all took cover inside the clubhouse to enjoy a great dinner. Chef Brian smoked some fabulous pulled pork to go with plenty of sides brought by our riders. After dinner we enjoyed some laughs, give-a-ways as well as a bon fire in our new fire pit made by Dubie Welding (@dubiegroomers). Not only can they make great trail groomers but they also produce great metalwork! Check them out if your interested in metal art.

Thank you to all the riders who came out this year! With everything going on in this world it was great to see so many familiar faces. This year we also had a few new comers, we hope you enjoyed your time and made new friends, pleas come back next year! Thank you so much to all the people that help make this ride a success, Wendy and Cecil, Brian and Jackie, Frank and Linda, Doug and Crystal, Tom and Debbie, Jim and Karen, everyone that helped with breakfast as well as everyone that brought dishes to pass at dinner. We’d also like to thanks @pricelessdesigns for the awesome stickers for this years ride participants. Hope I didn’t miss anyone as this is a group effort and without everyone it wouldn’t be as successful as it is! This has turned into a great family event fundraiser for our club.

We hope to see everyone come back again next year after life gets back to “normal”. Make your calendars, August 27-28, 2021 for the 7th annual ORV ride and Campout! We’ve already been in discussions for making next years event bigger and better! Make sure you check out the 2020 ORV ride and Campout photo folder!

Stay tuned here as we have some major announcements coming up. Fall color ride, new ACSC swag and improvements as we head into 2021!!!

Thank you once again to everyone for taking time out of your lives to join us and support the ACSC! 🇺🇸

We ask anyone that feels like they maybe ill to please refrain from partaking in the ride this year. Anyone camping, please feel free to rope off your “social distance” space and please respect your neighbors space. This event is held in the outdoors, the best place we can all be!

6th Annual ACSC ORV Ride and Campout weekend will officially happen, rain or shine, Corona virus or not!
This event held the weekend before Labor Day annually has grown to be one of the favorite events the club hosts. Unfortunately due to the pandemic we have lost our Friday night entertainment this year but we are currently working on other plans, if all else fails we will have music, bonfire, libations and most importantly our friends, properly distanced of course.

[06/09/20]   For the safety of our members we have decided to forgo our June meeting and plan at this time to hold our regular July meeting on July 11th 9 am!

Hope everyone is enjoying the great weather and staying healthy, see everyone in July!

Stay tuned for updated abbreviated summer schedule of events! 2 events to make sure you’ve marked on your calendar!
August 28-29 - the 6th Annual ORV ride and Campout weekend! Last years event was spectacular, their working hard on making this one another blockbuster! Weekend starts with camping on Thursday into Friday. Friday we will hopefully find some entertainment if not we’ll entertain ourselves! Danny B can’t play this year due to the pandemic. Saturday be prepared to eat and ride, we do it best around here, then a nightcap bonfire 🔥.
October 2-3rd - the 3rd Annual UP Invation Tour. New location this year which is sure to bring more adventures into the heart of the beautiful Upper Pennisula.

[05/29/20]   Help us wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our fearless leader and President Mike Null ! Our club is blessed to have you and we hope you have a spectacular day 🎂🎈🎉🎁🍷🥳

Have a safe holiday weekend. Please respect private land owners as you enjoy the outdoors on your ORV

As we head into prestigious weekend let’s all remember our fallen men and women of the armed services who gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting our country.
If you plan to recreate on your orv or sxs please respect the sections of snowmobile trail that have no orv/no wheeled vehicle signs. These areas are signed to notify that you are entering private property that is NOT open to orv use. All of our trails west of 131, including the 131 corridor are NOT open to ORV traffic. Out of alba the first roughly 2 miles south is also on private property and marked as such. Contrary to many’s opinion. The power lines in the Lakes of the North area are owned by consumers energy and is considered trespassing. Unfortunately many of the signs that were put up last fall have been ran over or stolen. All our trails south of Mancelona road are on forest roads and open to ORV use.
Please respect private land owners on all trail systems to ensure those trails remain there and hope that one day we will be able to open them up for orv use as well! There are many great mapping products out there to ensure you are on the proper trails, VVMapping is one we highly recommend!
Thank you and have a safe extended weekend!

[05/07/20]   🚨 Monthly meeting for this Saturday has been cancelled🚨

Hoping everyone is staying safe, we will all join together soon enough! Once social distancing and stay at home guidelines are lifted we will announce plans for activities planned

Have a great day,

Reminder: June golf outing has been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic

[04/11/20]   While we are quarantined were on a fact finding mission! Today’s topic is your impact on our local economy related to snowmobile/ORV recreation. Whether you live in the area or come to the area to ride, how often do you ride in our area and how much do spend a year supporting our local economy.
Purpose for this poll is to hopefully expand our club as well as improve the trail system and hopefully expand on that as well!

[04/05/20]   It is with great sadness due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines, we are postponing our annual golf outing. Organizers are working on securing a date this fall to host the event, stay tuned for more information. Next year’s even will return to it’s historic date of Father’s Day weekend. Thank you for your understanding and the great support we receive for this event!

Stay home, stay safe and we hope to see everyone soon!

[04/01/20]   With the current executive order in place my Governor Whitmer and for the safety of our members we have decided to cancel the April club meeting scheduled for April 11th. Please join us May 9th @ 9am for our next meeting! A lot of planning for summer events, come and join!

[03/24/20]   It’ll be a short 3 weeks. Use technology, video call your friends and family to check on them and stay in touch.
To pass the time, post your favorite photo from snowmobiling this year and give a thanks to those hard working volunteers keeping trails safe and smooth
