Senior Spotlight: Marissa Fiacco has a passion for skiing, traveling and will always remember being a part of the first women's soccer program at LSI. Come fall, she'll be taking her talents to Sacred Heart University where she will major in nursing and join the D1 track team. Congrats, Marissa!

🚨Coaching Alert🚨 We would like to introduce the newest Coach to our Firestrom staff and family … Sage Grennon! To start we would like to wish Coach Sage a Happy Birthday! Sage is a 2 time captain and current Hudson Valley player. She plans on graduating in the spring. Sage also coaches at Beestera.

Yesterday morning we had our annual Firestorm Christmas practice! Some girls showed up in spirit with Christmas PJ pants. Coaches brought donuts and OJ for breakfast! We want to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Cadets in the Community: Marissa Fiacco '24 was recently recognized as an exceptional volunteer by St. Peter’s Hospital. Marissa has been giving her time and talents this past year by supporting staff on one of the hospital's patient floors. Great job, Marissa!!

2 of our Firestorm players out in the Community Volunteering! Great job Priscilla and Victoria!

Cadets in the Community: Priscilla Hayes & Victoria Koroso, La Salle freshmen, volunteered at St. Henry's Church in Averill Park this past weekend. The church held their annual "Octoberfest" and Priscilla and Victoria did a fantastic job selling and serving food. Way to go, Cadets!

The Firestorm coaches would like to take the time to congratulate all of our high school fall student- athletes. We would also like to send our luck to the players who will compete in sectionals. We have players spread over 15 school districts.

Last but not least 2 of our seniors who play at Guilderland High School, Erika Levernois and Charlottes Beggs they have helped their team to a 5-5-2 record this season so far.

GK and Grove City College commit Maddie Mills was awards this years CDYSL scholarship. Congratulations!!

Next up on our senior spotlight: Carissa Calderone!

Carissa will be graduating from Broadalbin Perth this June and has committed to Brockport University. She hopes to continue playing soccer. Carissa has played soccer since she was five years old. She has played for Broadalbin youth commission, Amsterdam youth commission, Highland FC, Fulton United and currently Firestorm FC. She played varsity soccer for 3 years with Broadalbin Perth and was named team captain for her senior year. In addition to playing soccer Carissa has grown a love for weightlifting. She hopes to compete competitively in the future.

Carissa would like to thank Coach Kelly Dawson and Coach Sean Meca of AYSC, Coach Chad Brown and David Bush of Fulton United, Coach Rob Klug and Coach Jess Saragalis of Broadalbin Perth and her current Coaches John Quimby and Jared Everleth of Firestorm FC. She and her family would like to thank these coaches for their time and dedication in allowing her to play soccer.

Carissa would like to thank her family for always supporting her through soccer. She is extremely thankful for all the experiences, friendships and memories made.
