Recap of yesterday before we start today! Asher had his first race on the new 2 stroke motor and it was a huge learning curve. He’s slowly figuring it all out. We had an issue with his float, got it fixed and the main looked a lot better. He’s still driving it like a 4 stroke so learning to be easier on the throttle is the game today. Yesterday’s race:

Heat 1 - p3 to p2
Heat 2 - p2 to p2
Main - 2nd to 2nd

We’ve taken the summer off from kart racing but are so excited to get back into the swing of things! Asher will be racing the 2 day show at Cottage Grove tomorrow (Friday) starting at 6pm and Saturday starting at 10am.

Which of our kart buddies will be there? Can’t wait to see our friends and put a few miles in the new motor.

Asher had a blast tonight! He went 1st to 4th in his heat. He was just so much more underpowered than the others. That didn’t stop him from starting 6th of 7 in the main though! He quickly dropped back to 7th on the start and a lap in avoided a wreck right in front of him like the true kart kid he is. He ended the night 5th and came home with a payout! $20. 🙌🏼 We also had some special visitors - Auntie Allison, Uncle Alan, Chase and Owen. Thanks for coming!

Rollin’ out the hornet for the first time at Sunset Speedway tonight in what we’re pretty sure is the only stock car. 😂 Somehow we got the lucky pill draw to start on the pole. Defense on the bottom is going to be our strategy for tonight. 🚗 💨
