Bay Explorers Summer Camps 2023

10 weeks of Summer Camps exploring the Bay’s many attractions including local parks, local pools, bowling, indoor-trampolining, pinball, Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor & more!

Ages & Eligibility
Campers must be ages 6-12 on the first day of the program in order to register.

Pickup/Drop-Off
Pick-up and drop-off will happen at a designated park site each day. All pick-up and drop-offs will be centrally located in the Albany/Berkeley area.

Where we will go
Each day we will travel to 1-2 locations including local parks, local pools, bowling, indoor-trampolining, pinball, Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor & more!
Each week will have a slightly different list of locations.

Pricing (Per Week)
Monday-Friday: 9:00am-4:00pm: $525
Extended Care AM (7:30am-9:00am): $65
Extended Care PM (4:00pm-5:30pm): $55
*All transportation and admission fees are included in the weekly price.

New Karate Classes In Village Beginning May 1st, Youth and Adult!

Shotokan Karate is a formal and traditional Japanese karate with an emphasis on the integrated training of mind, body and spirit. Monthly memberships allow students to come to up to 3 classes per week. Shotokan Karate is also offering a special 6-month introductory membership price of only $25/month for youth and $45/month for adults. Classes will take place in the App Bay. Join us this Sunday for a free Zumba class at the Community Center. Open to all residents, come dance and bring a friend!

This Sunday, August 28th at 11:00am

Registration is now open for our first (semi-full) Youth Recreation session! This session will feature Basketball (Classes and Leagues), Soccer (Brand-new Programming with Cal's Kimberly Yokers), Chess (with Berkeley Chess School), Circus (with Slim) & More!

**Several programs will not open until late Fall, including Gymnastics, Aerial, Art, and more.

It has been a long time since our doors have been open, but we are excited to welcome everyone back!

Classes are $8 per class OR you can get a monthly Adult Fitness Membership for only $30 that includes unlimited access to all classes/programs/activities.

To celebrate their return to school, come with your kiddo(s) to dance the weekend away at a family-friendly Zumba class! The Zumba instructor, Marita, has taught for 10 years and plays a large variety of music for a wide age range. This includes Latin (Reggaeton, Salsa, Samba) Pop, 80s, Kid Hits, Hip Hop, Country and more!

The event will be in the grassy area with large concrete steps (amphitheater), where Jackson, Red Oak and Monroe meet. This is directly across the street from 1125 Jackson St. Albany CA. This will take place this Saturday, April 3rd at 12:30pm.

Strict COVID safety guidelines (masks and distancing) will be in place and the event will be outdoors. Class is free but you can still donate however much you want (definitely not expected!) Accepting: Cash, Paypal ([email protected]) and Cash App ($JenniferChumbe). Donations will go towards instructor transportation and additional will go towards the Afterschool University enrichment program!

With AUSD reopening on Monday, BearBus is returning with transportation options to and from school from University Village. Our shuttle is operated by University and DMV-background-checked drivers and services Oceanview Annex, Cornell, and Marin commentaries for less than $20 per week. Space is limited.
