A Pilates studio specializing in teaching Classical Pilates.

This wonderful man, Bob Liekens, passed away this weekend leaving so many of us sad and dismayed. Bob was a true “teacher of teachers” and I was very blessed to have been trained by him. His passion for the Method was immeasurable and his knowledge of the movement was brilliant. To this very day I hear his voice whenever I teach and I find myself repeating things he had said. I am eternally grateful to have been influenced by Bob and I will continue to teach the Classical Pilates Method with the integrity and passion he showed me.

Rest In Peace Bob♥️

Day 21 March MATness Teaser
Pilates clients begin with using momentum by moving their legs with their torso they to the V sit position. Intermediate clients use their muscles and not momentum to get up, they then continue to hold their legs as they control the torso back to the mat. Advanced clients continue to use the intermediate principles but remove the rest and return right back to the teaser position. They also challenge their muscles even more by reaching their arms up causing the upper abdominal to engage.

Then a reach is added but it more about the abdominals then touching your feet. Finally we add an extra twist as you re-stack your spine.
