As we head into Thanksgiving, we’ve been thinking about what truly makes Shaker Ridge special. It isn’t just the course or the clubhouse. It’s the people who fill this place with energy, support, and pride.

We’re grateful for our members who show up rain or shine, for the friendships that start on the tee box and carry far beyond it, for the staff who keep everything running with care, and for the families who make the club part of their everyday life. You are the heart of Shaker Ridge.

🥇 Lilla Zeevalk – Girls Champion, firing a fantastic 70 with 38 on the front and 32 on the back

👏 We’re proud of all our junior golfers across every age group — from the 6–8 division all the way to the 15–17s. The talent, sportsmanship, and energy on the course this season were outstanding.

Defeated Nicholas Marini 4 & 3 with a hot start and clutch birdies.

Big congratulations to Joe Fitzsimmons for bringing home the title again at the 82nd The Country Club of Troy Invitational Championship! Joe fired rounds of 70–68 and clinched the win in a sudden-death playoff on the first hole — successfully defending his championship from last year.

That makes it back-to-back victories for Shaker Ridge at this event.

Be sure to give Joe a shout-out when you see him around the course. 👏

⛳️ Kicking off the 2025 Junior Golf season in style at Shaker Ridge!

Before the PGA Junior League officially gets going, our Junior Golf Committee hosted an early-season event to get our youngest golfers out swinging—and the energy was incredible. From putting drills to indoor swing analysis and full-swing practice on the range, it was a great day to be a junior at Shaker.

🚨 Look Closely! High-Flying Friends Alert! 🚨

Yesterday morning, we had some VIP guests at Shaker Ridge Country Club—6 fighter jets from Langley Air Force Base, known as the Screamin’ Demons, soaring above! While the word is that they were here for training, we’re pretty sure they just wanted to check out our beautiful course from above. 🛫⛳️

They treated us to some rolls and tight banks, and it was one heck of a show! 🎉✈️

We hope they had as much fun as we did—next time, we’ll make sure to have a tee time ready for our new winged friends! 🏌️‍♂️

We’re thrilled to announce that Samantha has qualified for the 37th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, which will take place next month at Brae Burn Country Club! 🎉⛳️ We couldn’t be prouder to have one of our own competing on such a prestigious stage.
