It hs been brought to our teams attention and to the attention of Straight Edge Punks Cooperative Entertainment the recent public actions of #2 No-vel Carter and we are all deeply shocked, disturbed and overall disappointed given that he presented himself at all team and team functions as a hard working family man. The severity of his actions not only violates the team bylaws but also the Straight Edge Punks Cooperative Entertainment bylaws and he has been promptly seperated from our overall collectives opperations. We keep getting asked "Where can we see you guys on the ice?"and felt we needed to make a post Well presently we are in a rebuild phase so we don't presently have any competitive appearances. However we do consistently attend Albany Bombers Tuesday night Training/Scrimmage at Albany Academy so if you would like to see us on the ice in any capacity and want to come check out local amateur hockey make an attempt to come see it. It's a good time

Our team has been made aware of some unfortunate news. Last month a legend of the the oginal AHL Albany River Rats era Bernie Harney passed away he was known as the #1 River Rats Fan for his Passionate energy and banter as well as a Commerical forever immortalising him. The Albany River Rats HC and Straight Edge Punks Cooperative Entertainment wish to extend our Condolences to Bernie's family friends and additionally will honor him with both the Ceremonial Sticks Out and Sticks Up tributes at our next appearance

#27 (later #69) Randy Nemeckay has announced he will be stepping away from hockey to focus on family and career matters.

The Albany River Rats Hockey Club wishes Randy nothing but the best as he prioritizes what matters most. He’s been an incredible teammate and person both on and off the ice. The door will always be open if he ever decides to make a return.

Update to our Knickerbocker Ice Arena appearance plans. We have decited to change to biweekly due to schedule fluctuations in our roster making the time offered not possible weekly.

Members of your 2025-26 River Rats will play with the bombers at the Albany Academy Rink. As is now our standard we will make a graphic for each of our planned appearances on a rink by rink basis
