Dear Albany Sand Drag Racers and Supporters,

I’m saddened to announce that we will have to cancel our upcoming Sand Drag season.

A few weeks after posting our summer series schedule, I was informed by my insurance provider that my policy no longer covers drag racing events. I’ve spent the past couple of months trying to find a solution but unfortunately, due to circumstances out of my control I am unable to find a solution.

This was not an easy decision, and I truly appreciate everyone’s support and am very sorry for any inconvenience that this has brought to anyone. I’m hopeful that I can work out a solution and bring sand drags back next season.

May 23 Test and tune 4pm-8pm

May 24 Race Round 1 (Double Points)

May 25 Race Round 2 (Double Points)

June 14 Race Round 3

June 15 Race Round 4

July 19 Race Round 5

July 20 Race Round 6

August 29 test and tune 3pm-7pm

August 30 Race Round 7 (Double Points)

August 31 Race Round 8 (Double Points)

Must compete in 7 of the 8 events to qualify for a series end award

This weekend September 28-29 will be the final rounds of our 2024 Summer Sand Drag Racing Series. Time trials will begin 8 am each day with racing to follow. Points from Labor Day weekend!

This weekend will be round 7&8 of our Summer Sand Drag Racing Series. As well as our 20 year anniversary. Friday will be a test and tune from 3-6 pm . 6:30 will be the first qualifying passes for our 2.95 class. We will be having a shootout for the cars starting at 7:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday will be racing both days Time trials will start at 8 am both days . Saturday evening we will be having a pot luck at 7:30 so please bring a dish or drinks if you can everyone is welcome to. Bikes will be going first all three days . Thank you all for all of your support over the years and hope to see everyone this weekend.
