A little update on some of the pockets coming out of the shop recently.

First up we’ve got some Hollywood Iron Covers that came out buttery smooth with the new locally sourced leather we’ve been using. The new leather has made custom covers like these Hollywoods much easier to work with, and they look and feel so much better.

We’ve also developed a new, deeper bucket. It’s 9 inches from top to bottom. I placed it next to our classic mini-buckets and Gold Crown style buckets for reference.

Everything that comes out of our shop is cut, formed, dyed, and sewn in house. Never outsourced. Always Made In New York.

9 Foot J.M. Brunswick & Balke Co. (pre-Brunswick Balke Collender. c. 1874-1884)
Mahogany with quilted maple & rosewood inlay. My favorite details on this table are the flush mounted irons (slide 4), and the way the leg inlay (slide 1). Its not clear from across the room, but when you're standing above the table looking down, the marquetry on the dishes line up with the lower leg form a flower. This table needs some minor repairs and color correction, but is otherwise in great shape for its age.

Gorgeous “Special 5” pockets going out today. With our hand-died green crocheted nets, fringe, and supple black leather; no expenses were spared on this set. We even had a broken side iron welded so our customer could use all the table’s original irons

7 foot antiques are hard to come by and highly sought after. This early 20th Century Brunswick Balke Collender is wrapped top to bottom in quarter sawn oak, and measures in with a playing area of 38"x76", making it perfect for an apartment or an older home with smaller rooms.

It's been real busy around here. Over 250 sets of pockets sold in 2025 with no signs of slowing down. Shout out to our Pocket Manager .oob for making the best pockets in the business. As always, 100% handmade in house in Albany, NY. 🇺🇸

One final table for 2025:
44x88, quarter sawn oak, Goodman, Leavitt, Yatter restored and delivered to Saratoga Springs, NY. It was only fitting to deliver a table that was once painted red and green (slides 7 & 8) on Christmas Eve. I’d like to thank the owners for trusting us to restore this basket case. It came out beautiful

8 foot Victorians are flying out the door around here. This Benedict table is adorned in gorgeous quilted maple with mahogany and rosewood inlay. First we gave her a light refinish and new skirts. Then we completely rebuilt the pocket openings, replaced cushion wood and rubber, wrapped her in Simonis cloth, and added our leather pockets so she plays as good as she looks.
We only have a couple 8 foot tables left. Are genuine antiques making a comeback? It looks that way from where I’m sitting. Get ‘em while they’re hot

Recently restored and installed 19th century Benedict “Butterfly” in mahogany with rosewood and maple inlay. Benedict’s nature inspired patterns set it apart from many of the other tables from the time. This one is especially beautiful with its 6 butterflies and colored "berries" throughout. We have its twin still available in billiard form (though it could be converted for pockets), and an even older and more ornate version in maple with 20 "fish" in addition to the butterflies.
