Tomorrow is Saturday, and doors are open for our drop-in Chess classes.

We have the-

𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽-𝗜𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. For unrated players up to 800 USCF.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽-𝗜𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. For players 800 to 1400 USCF.

Saturdays go fast. A year from now, you will either be a stronger player or you will wish you had started. Tomorrow is a good place to start.

We are excited to share the full lineup of our 2026 Summer Chess Camps, four different ways for your child to spend a meaningful part of their summer at the board with us.

A focused one-day camp on Friday, June 19, in Albany. A great way to spend the holiday at the board.

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.
A full week of structured chess and coaching, June 29 to July 3.

𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀, Bethlehem, NY.
Two camp weeks to choose from, July 13 to 17 or July 27 to 31.

Yes, they will play a lot of chess, but they will also be in an environment that gently stretches them in ways summer at home rarely can.

Ladies' Night Chess

After last Tuesday's wonderful time with the ladies, tonight is another night for them to gather again and if you are a lady, you are invited.

Albany chess center host an evening of chess for ladies to come learn, play and connect in a space specially created for them.

Registration is still open for our Summer Chess Camp at The Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs, and we would love to see your child there.

It is one week of summer camp, June 29 to July 3, with half- and full-day options to fit your schedule and open to kids aged 5-12.

It promises to be a week of real chess that can shape how your child thinks for a long time to come. They will work with coaches who care about young players, and spend the days surrounded by other kids who love the same things they do.

Monday Action USCF Rated Tournament

In two weeks, our Adult Beginner Chess Course begins, and Monday evenings at Albany Chess Center will look a little different.

Before that shift, we have a small window of USCF rated Monday play left.

The Monday Action Tournament runs today, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, USCF rated, and we want you to be a part of the tournament before the calendar changes.

Saturday Drop-In Classes at Albany Chess Center

Tomorrow at Albany Chess Center, the question is not if you are ready. It is which class you are walking into.

The Beginner Class opens at 1:00 PM, with instructions on fundamentals, basic tactics, and board vision.

The Intermediate Class follows at 2:00 PM for developing players pushing deeper into tactical patterns, strategy, and practical decision-making.
