Fly Fishing in Oregon
Thursday club member Bill Marshall and I fished the northeast corner of EE Wilson and caught lots of fat rainbows on his cake fly.

This morning ten Linn Benton Family Flyfishers braved the cold wet weather to catch fish at EE Wilson.
Eight Linn Benton Family Flyfishers fished in the Big Elk Valley today. Fishing was a little slow but every trip to this beautiful place is worth it.

Ten Linn Benton Family Fly Fishers fished the Willamette River today in and around Albany and caught five different species of fish; including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, crappie, perch and pike minnow. At the end of the trip we ate lunch at Bowman Park.
Club member Bill Marshall and I made the hike into Gold Lake yesterday where we had the lake all to ourselves and you are allowed to keep brook trout. The fish were more than aggressive and we took home a few fish for our smokers. Amazingly there were no mosquitoes, only butterflies.

Bill Marshall and I joined the
Santiam Fly Casters at Cheadle Lake in Lebanon today where we caught lots of sunfish and some chunky largemouth bass.
The fishing in Dune Lake on our LBFF Club trip was tremendous! A dozen club members enjoyed 3 days of fabulous fishing in sun and rain. Gene Stutzman caught 50 trout on Thursday and Friday Bob Burke caught about 100. Also pictured is Kathy Holtan who caught plenty of hard fighting fish. Thank you Dennis and Donna Ashenfelter for arranging the trip.
Club members Bill Ortman and I were invited by Matt Stephens to fish Pyramid Lake Nevada, where we caught big, beautiful Lahonton Cutthroat Trout.
This weekend was our trip to the Crooked River. I was joined by Aaron and Maddyson West, Greg Gorthy, and Lenny Moffo. It was cold, wet and windy but we did hook a few fish.
After the Expo, Bill Ortman and Randy Kruse took me fishing.
Once again it's time to catch up on our page. 16 club members did the setup and takedown for the Fly Tyers' Expo last week. Then Kathy and Don Holton, Dennis and Dona Ashenfelter and Harley Denning covered our table.
We had our club trip to EE Wilson today. Four of us caught some beautiful big trout. Bill Ortman caught around twenty fish on an olive fly under an indicator. Cindy Shaw and Bill Buckner each caught more than enough fish for dinner and I was just happy to be there.

Siletz Searun Cutthroat Trout
Yesterday Don Holtan, Jim Abbott and I launched down the steep ramp at Ojalla on the Siletz and dragged our boats through the riffles to Morgan Park. Both resident and searun cutthroat were abundant.
Seven club members floated the Middle Fork of the Willamette yesterday and fish were caught. Thank you Grace Christensen for running the shuttle and Dennis and Donna Ashenfelter for the barbecue.
