Thank you to our spring baseball, softball and tee ball program participants, families and volunteers that have patiently waited while we have been navigating COVID-19 information and guidelines. Over the past few weeks, we did not want to prematurely cancel any programs and have remained hopeful that we would be able to postpone our season with a later than usual start. To ensure the health and safety of all participants spectators and SMPA Team Members, we are aligning with 90%+ of ARPA affiliates statewide and cancelling the Spring softball, baseball and tee ball season. Our Excellent user-experience standard could not be met, and again we want to ensure the health & safety of the community. We appreciate your support and understanding during this unprecedented time. We are so excited to offer a full slate of youth recreational programming in the Fall, including Fall Baseball and Softball leagues. See you in few months at our beautiful new park!

In regards to registration fees for these programs, you may request a full refund or a SMPA youth sports programming credit beginning at noon on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 through Sunday, June 7th, 2020 on our RecDesk site at http://sandmountainpark.recdesk.com. You will be required to fill out a refund or credit request for each participant. Choose programs, refunds or credit and then choose Spring Sports Refund Request 2020 or Spring Sports Credit Request 2020. There will be no in-person refunds or credit requests available. Refunds will be processed as quickly as possible. It is our goal that all refund requests will be completed within 30 days after the June 7th deadline. Those not requesting a refund or credit via RecDesk by the June 7th deadline will receive a credit for future youth sports programming at SMPA.

Albertville Pee Wee Cheer

Hi All,

We will have sign ups. The only problem is that with schools being closed we cannot use our usual location. As soon as we can find a location we will set a new date.

Please be patient as we continue to work on this. Please share and continue to collect your fundraiser money as it will be due the day of sign ups.

TODAY is the last chance to request a refund or SMPA sports programming credit for the 2020 baseball, softball, t-ball season!!! 5:00 PM is the deadline!

Due to the state COVID-19 guidelines and to ensure the safety and health of all Albertville Parks & Recreation participants & spectators, we are postponing the start of our baseball/softball/t-ball season to Monday, June 1st. We will be offering a full slate of practices and games as if the season was going to occur in the Spring. If this adjusted timeline does not work for your family, you will have the opportunity to get a full refund or SMPA youth recreational league credit. The deadline to request a refund or SMPA youth recreational league credit is Friday, April 10th at 5:00pm. A refund or SMPA youth recreational league credit will not be available after the deadline on April 10th. To begin the refund/SMPA youth recreational league credit process, please go to this link Http://sandmountainpark.recdesk.com, choose programs, and then choose the program type Refund Request 2020 BB, SB or TB. There will be no in-person refund or SMPA youth recreational league credit processing available. Refunds will be processed as quickly as possible. It is our goal that all refund requests will be completed within 30 days.
To ensure that our league will run, we will also open up registration for additional kids from Monday, April 13th – Sunday, April 19th. This will be open for individual registration only. Team registration will not be permitted. Boys and girls ages 4 – 12 are eligible to play. The registration fee is $75 per child for T-ball and $100 per child for baseball/softball. Please go to www.sandmountainpark.recdesk.com to register starting on Monday, April 13th. All new registrations are required to be completed online. There will be no in-person registration option.

All existing teams will remain intact, and our goal is to backfill open slots with new kids that register as best as we can. If coaches dropout, we will fill those slots with new coaches.

This decision is based on everything we know about COVID-19 as of today. SMPA will monitor the COVID-19 situation on a daily basis very closely, and we will continue to adhere to all local, state and/or federal guidelines. If we learn that recreational sports cannot be played starting June 1st, then we will adjust accordingly and immediately communicate that. Full refunds and/or SMPA youth recreational league credits will be offered if COVID-19 prevents us from having a season in June/July. The safety and health of all Albertville Parks & Recreation participants & spectators is of the utmost importance to us.

We’re very excited to offer an adjusted season for the community and introduce our brand new fields to everyone!
